He did it!
:hurray: Happy dance this morning. Pip was hanging out by the cat tree while I got breakfasts ready, and I had his playpen bedding changed already because I did it while they were outside for morning potty. I gave Millie her bowl and then stood by the playpen and patted my hands together and called ...

Re: boots for knuckling dog
They remind me a little of Tammy and Teddy's custom boots, which sadly are not made any more.

Re: boots for knuckling dog
Hi Janne,
Crocs for dogs!
Do they work in locations with very hot weather, like 30C and higher? Where I live in South Texas it can reach 44C.
How are the knuckling boots different from the winter boots?
Thanks for the information.

Re: Pip diagnosis - Central cord syndrome
So he's been getting up and coming over to the playpen nearly every morning now. And he stands there, making it easier to pick him up. I haven't been able to get him to come when I pat my hands together and coax him, "Come here. Come here." That will be amazing if that ever happens. But fo...

Re: Rescued cat with tail pull injury. Fecal incontinence + quality of life
just curious if anybody has any had improvement with fecal incontinence by ceasing medicine / tail amputation. I've never heard of improvement in fecal incontinence as a result of tail amputation. I am not a vet but would think the incontinence is likely due to nerve injury from the tail pull. That...

Pip on the cat tree?
I don't know how he did this, I didn't see it happen. The picture is taken from the doorway between the livingroom and kitchen. He likes to hang out next to the cat tree while I'm getting breakfast. I usually bring him in from potty and set him in the middle of the livingroom carpet and he walks/run...

Re: Dolly
I don't know. Maybe if I had the large sized carrier. I use a top-open Petmate with her and those are all medium. I don't have a top-open large-sized one. I could look and see what's out there. When she's having the seizure she's lying on her side, but when she comes out of it she's sitting up and c...

Re: Pip diagnosis - Central cord syndrome
Yeah, that, too! Only for whatever reason, he's decided not to do it the past 2 days.

Re: Pip diagnosis - Central cord syndrome
Pippy is doing something new. It sounds like nothing, but it's not. It's big. In the morning I take him out to potty, bring him in, give him a sponge bath with wet washcloths, then leave him in the middle of the living room floor while I get breakfasts ready. He usually hops over by the cat tree, as...

Re: Dolly
Thanks critters, She has a plastic kennel crock for water that is screwed onto the inside corner, with a small Corelle bowl set down inside of it so she isn't drinking out of plastic. It's about as safe and tip proof as I can think of. It doesn't have anything that might hurt her eyes if she had a s...

Thanks Christine,
You say it well. That's how it is. You got what I was trying to say.

Re: Dolly
:thankyou: I suppose I am, but I also have my head firmly in the sand. Logically, I suppose this ends when she has an uncontrolled seizure at some point, which I thought might happen last night. When she had the 8pm one and I put her in the car and then it settled, I carried her out to the back yard...

Re: Dolly
She had her 0.5 ml Keppra at 10am and a seizure 10 minutes later before it was in her system. She went more than 8 hours between previous dose last night and the 10am dose. It wasn't for the first time but I suspect it contributed. She was sleeping when I got up and I decided to let her sleep. I've ...

Cat food for bladder incontinence?
I'd like to know what this is. Bugs is also super special as he is a manx cat and has no tail! His unique look also comes with some unique traits including a very bunny-esque hop/walk that gives him an irregular stride. Don't let him fool you though, he can seriously sprint! Because his spine is irr...
