Wildlife rehabbers here ask bird finders to make a doughnut nest out of a towel or something to put a sick or disabled bird in to hold a bird in the proper position for transport and beyond. Perhaps such might be useful for your bird?

PS Don’t most portable generators have 2 wheels & a handle, so they’re easier to move?

One way to run a cord in/out and not have to drill holes is to use the dryer vent. Typically they’re low to the ground too.

For sure, the power pack would have to match the light; power ratings are terribly important in that instance. The camera has decided it MUST take a time lapse pic, so I didn’t get one. I have no idea how big Pip is, but the cooler inside is about an inch bigger in each dimension than a clodhopper size 10 or 10.5 (they’re too big & I inherited them).
