Hi we have an 8mnth fixed male boxer.
A week ago he came in the house with a sad look after his morning duties and sat on his couch I thought he had done something wrong, so I went to work come back and he was still looking guilty so I thought but as it turns out he had injured himself somehow?
He can’t speck but his eyes tell lots later that night he was slow and paced, just thought he had gas or something.
Sunday same thing but following the wife close and now looks like he had a stiff neck (side to side) so its Sunday nothing open so we got aspirin and he seem to come back he was on his couch upside down like normal.
But Monday am he was worse crying and slow.
That night the we stayed up all night with him because he seemed lost no Vets doesn’t open until Tuesday.
We take him into the vets and waited 2hrs anyway got an exam and the vet took an x-ray but didn’t know she gave him something for the pain and instructions with the rest of the drugs and he walked out up the stairs out of the vets on his own but cried when I lifted him into the truck.

Now we are at home and I take him out of the truck and he cried and as I put him down to walk he fell had no control of his front end.
carried him into the house and there he lied until 16:00 when I come home from work and the wife was screaming from inside I come in and he is having a seizure and messed himself and his eyes bulged out and tongue wow what the heck?
Calmed him down and called this Vet emerge # and she called back 2hrs later @#$%^
But wanted me to lift him and see if he can stand (I said what!)
Ya while she was on the phone so she could hear him.
He screamed and cried but would not stand or couldn’t stand.
So The Vet said there is nothing that she can do.
So I called another Vet and he said bring him out.
Harley had another Seizure before we left to go.

So I can’t lift him carry him cause he bites and screams, so I had to get a piece of plywood and carry him like it was a spinal injury.

He is now still at the Vets and we have taken more x-rays and can’t see any bone damage.
We have been calling all over BC and Alb and Sask for ideas and they all say bring him in it will start at $150 to exam well we have done this twice now already and then they said it will be an MRI $2000-$3000 and then if surgery up to $8000 well I don’t have this cash on the spot or can I charge it!!!!!

Now we have our hands tied and it hurts to see an 8 month baby go through this but I can’t afford the medical treatment
The local Vet we have here is doing everything he can to make Harley comfortable.

Why didn’t I get insurance?

Why Humans can get this so easy and our pets can’t?

Money is evil and it’s not FARE.

Thank you for reading
