:strobe: Yes, it can be hard, even in this day and age, to find the "right" splint, but the good news is that there are options. I suggest a load of research, then contact the company of the splint you've decided to buy to double-check that it SHOULD work in the given circumstances.

 I have used the woundwear brace on my dog Zep. It is a miracle! He had a full cruciate tear. Our Vet had suggested surgery, but we were not ready for that. I did a lot of research and found people having a lot of success with the woundwear brace. I also read using the brace for post surgery and other leg troubles. Good luck on your dog's recovery!
Here is a video I made of Zep recoverying. http://www.youtube.com/embed/JaHZUqhHlYQ

My pup had his cruciate ligament torn - right back leg. I couldn't afford much for the surgery so I did research and asked my Vet about other options. I had my vet take measurements after he recommended the A-trac dynamic brace made by Woundwear. After a few months the ligament healed without surgery! I must say with this brace and probably any, it will take a little bit of time for you dog to get used to it. Once he/she knows it is helping and they can put their foot down, they will like it! I highly suggest the woundwear brace to anyone's dog that is going through the same injury. Their customer support was great. I spoke to Dr. Spatt many times and he was able to help me out.
