Arthritic Cat on Hardwood Floors

Postby eartone » Sat Sep 15, 2012 7:53 am

My cat, Sebastian, is an eighteen year old arthritic and diabetic. We recently moved to NYC and our floors are hardwood. We do have area rugs around the apartment, but there is a lot of floor space between rugs. The poor cat can't get the traction needed to move around without taking a tumble. So he moves around very tentatively. Does anyone have suggestions? I'm thinking of getting him little booties that I've seen on dogs- but I think he'd hate it. I feel so bad for him and wonder if anyone can share their wisdom. It would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
