Re: Zoe’s FCE JourneySo happy to see things are going in the right direction!
Re: Zoe’s FCE Journey6/22
Zoe's our best friend! My wife made this great video while hanging around the house with Zoe. Our pup is doing great. The last few days her main issue is with the stairs, mostly going down them. Otherwise she is nearly back to normal. We have a followup appointment at the the veterinary hospital next week...I expect the Dr. will be impressed. Here's the video: *Note: Same problem with the video to embed in the forum...click the link go to directly to it.
Re: Zoe’s FCE JourneyI had to watch it twice! What a sweet video. I am convinced that between the need to please you and be a mom to her babies, Zoe has all the incentive she needs to get back to normal. You should take your videos with you - your vet will love them. The more vets realize that owners are willing to go the extra mile to work with their pets injuries/handicaps, the more they will give us the information to do so rather than suggesting PTS. Yours sounds like one who is aware of this, but there are still so many to give that solution at the end of a diagnosis. Zoe will be another encouraging story for those who come here frightened and sad.
I am trying to figure out how many breeds Zoe is...those ears could be bloodhound, doxie or airplane! Her face is so much like my Penny, who is a lab mix, her tail looks like a lab's and her body shape....I give! . Her babies look like poodle terrier mixes. They are all three just adorable! ![]() Christine... and Bailey, playing at the Bridge ?/1999 - 10/25/08
Re: Zoe’s FCE Journey6/24/2012
Vet follow up appointment on Wednesday this week, we are excited to go and show her progress to the doctor!
Our guess is Zoe is a min pin mix and like you we think some doxie is there. Her pups, we have no idea. We're pretty sure there are 2 dads...from our reading it does happen. We did a DNA test on them to try to figure out what they might be and got so many possible results we still don't have any way to be sure. I hope our posting about Zoe's recovery does give others hope...we realize just how lucky she is to be doing so well so soon after the event.
Re: Zoe’s FCE JourneyI had to share this story with you as Tom could be Zoe's brother. Please pass this on to anyone you might know who could help. (I would not normally intrude on your thread, but he reminds me so much of your Zoe).

Re: Zoe’s FCE Journey6/27/12
Zoe's follow up appointment with the Veterinary hospital went great today, her doctor was impressed with her progress and told us to just keep doing what we're doing. We couldn't be happier!
Tom's story is so sad...I have shared with some folks, including one in NC that works in pup rescue and transportation so maybe he will get a home soon.
Re: Zoe’s FCE JourneyCongratulations on the "A+" from the vet....I am sure he is learning a few new insights observing Zoe. Thank you for sharing Tom's story. His is so sad and unfair. You just never know when "the" person who should see it does.

Re: Zoe’s FCE Journey7/1/12
Today is the 1 month anniversary of Zoe's FCE and we are happy to report she is nearly fully recovered. We expect the limp she has will remain for a while longer, but her energy level and personality are back. Her quality of life is great and we know she is happy...how could she not be with the amount of spoiling she's gotten (getting) during her recovery? Hopefully sharing of Zoe's story gives hope/proof that recovery is possible. Lunch at Johnny Rockets ![]() Relaxing on the couch ![]()
We've shared Tom's story and hope someone will rescue him soon.
