It has been 4 weeks since Lili's FCE and she is now weight bearing in both legs and walking with help and using all 4 limbs which is fantastic as it takes alot of pressure of our backs!!

She seems very reluctant to take any steps on her own and we try giving her treats to take those first steps if anyone has any suggestions please let us know

Thanks again for all your help love this forum would not have survived without it!!

Congratulations! :yay: Maybe take her outside where there is something she will be motivated to walk around investigating, rather than just indoors. Someplace with a lot of high interest stops within a small area. Examples might be sniffing around under the tables at the outdoor patio of a fast food restaurant, or sniffing around dumpsters.

Lili is at the 3 month mark since her FCE which paralysed her in all 4 limbs. She is doing so well walking everywhere even the floorboards which took some weeks to master!!!.

Her left side is amazing and I would say 90% back to normal her right side still needs some work so we are still doing hydro once a week and also acupuncture once a week too.

It has been the most rewarding 3 months that I could have ever imagined every step every movement, we as a family have absolutely celebrated.

I hope Lili has been an inspirational to all other FCE patients and if anyone ever needs any help please contact me I would be so happy to help!!!

Thanks again

This is great news!!

I think of you often.

Last month we celebrated Zoey's one year anniversary.

We are always so pleased to hear other stories like hers.

It has been well over 6 months since Lili's FCE in all four limbs and she is one happy dog now!!!

She is living a completely normal life the only things she cannot do is climb up stairs and jump into the car.

She still walks with a slight limp but that makes her even more special.

I would never have believed that she would have ever come this far!!!!

Congratulations! So glad she is doing so well. You know, recovery from paralysis can continue for years. She may still surprise you with little improvements in the months and years to come.
