Rescued Manx kitten with manx cat syndrome needs a home asap!

Post by shellyg23 »

Hello! I rescued a female kitten from a bad situation. Turns out she's a manx kitten and has manx cat syndrome. I already have 4 cats and a dog. I can't keep her. Bless her heart she's as sweet as can be❤️ I need to find her a new home. She is spayed and utd on all shots. She is such a wonderful cat. Can anybody help me? I have contacted rescues and my local humane society and have found no help. I don't know what else to do. I tried to attached a picture of her..but it says that the file is too large. I can send pictures if anyone is interested. I'm just looking for a good permanent home for her. I named her Athena, that can be changed. Please if someone can help, I would appreciate it so much. I am located in Union Missouri.

:welcome: It can be done, but I suspect you might have better luck with a sanctuary specializing in handicats: Milo’s, Best Friends, Tabby’s Place, and others. Your baby may be adoptable, but it’ll take time, and the right placement won’t endanger her in the meantime.

Thank you so much. I will definitely check those places out. I feel so bad for having to re- home her. I am just not equipped to care for a special needs kitty like her. Plus all of my other animals. Thanks again!

Oh!! I forgot there are groups on Facebook with people who might be willing to take your baby. One I used to belong to is https://www.facebook.com/groups/CatsWithParalysis/ , and there are others. They may know of sanctuaries/rescues nearer too.

A special needs cat from a rescue in Union, MO was featured here earlier this month. If you are not affiliated with the group, you might be able to ask them to do a courtesy post of your cat on Petfinder.

Here is their Petfinder profile.
