Please vote for Jager-help me pay for his surgery

Postby sheribeari » Tue Sep 29, 2009 12:45 pm

Jager is undergoing the first of two hip replacements on Oct 12. I have him entered in the cutest dog contest. The weekly prize if $500. This would make two monthly payments on the loan we had to get to pay for his surgeries. Please help out by voting for him.

http://www.cutestdogcompetition.com/vot ... 18E8537197

you can vote once a day and it starts all over on Sunday's. There are 4 weeks left in the contest.

Thank you for your consideration.

Hi Sheri and welcome! I just voted and will do so each day.

Just a note to others who want to do this. Register, get your email verification and come back here for the link to Jaeger unless you have a LOT of time to try and find him. There are a couple of thousand dogs in this contest! But...someone has to win and I do hope it is Jaeger. I have bookmarked his voting page so I can do it each day. He is so beautiful and the winnings will go for a great cause.

Keep us posted on how he is doing with the surgeries and if he wins. Good luck!

Once you put that shortcut on your desktop, it's a 2-second transaction...97 votes so far. Is there a way to know what his standing is now?

I slept on the couch last night and Jager spent his first night in the crate with the door closed. He did well. He whined a couple of times but he was still laying down and I think he was missing doing his "rounds" checking all the rooms in the house. He woke me once and he was standing at the door. I let him out and he went outside for a few minutes then came right back in. He did not give me any problems with going back into the crate. We got an extra large one so he wouldn't be too cramped. Almost time now..... surgery is on Monday. :(

We will all be pulling for him. Great idea to get him used to the crate ahead of time. Has he ever used a Kong? Something to keep him occupied while he is in there.

Do you have any idea of his standing in the contest (s)? Do you belong to any other discussion boards? I know there is a Yahoo group for dogs with arthritis...lots of information and votes too.

Take care.
