Nevertheless, we recognize there are times when someone can no longer give a pet needed care and we support their good faith effort to rehome the pet. We are a kind and supportive community that wants to help, avoiding judgement or blame for anyone's personal choices. Posts criticizing someone for offering a pet for adoption will be removed by moderators.

Our membership belongs to hundreds of pertinent rescues and we will post your request for help on other forums (called crossposting). By posting herein, you specifically allow us to crosspost your needs, unless you specifically deny that permission.

Rescue situations are often urgent, and they often involve close collaboration among people who do not know each other well, which may lead to misunderstandings. We request that you keep any disagreements off the public board, so that everyone can continue posting freely without moderator approval.
