Would the robaxin be given all the time? She only has these episodes maybe 2 or 3 times a year so I'd hate to have her on medication unnecessarily. Do you know if there are antispasmodics that can be administered as needed?
(Thanks for the reply!!)

Hey y'all, it's been a while...question about muscle spasms?
Hi gang! It's been way too long since I've chatted here with you guys or contributed to the forums, but I do lurk occasionally and Jaida and I have never forgotten your support. That being said, we're back, looking for advice (or at least comiseration!) Jaida, while having survived her amputation or...

Wow. One year. So very hard to beleive. It's funny...I haven't been here much and it just popped into my head, "I wonder how tessa's doing?" I'm glad to see an update, even if it's bittersweet...you guys are often on my mind. Are there pictures of your new little one?

Re: Questions re: hearing tests...
I've got some followup questions: "Clapping hands behind head and see which way the head swivels. " For this part of the test - if I clapped on the left side (deaf side) should I expect him to swivel his head in the direction of his good ear, or at all? "As an intersection is approach...

Questions re: hearing tests...
Questions from a friend who just adopted a 10-week old white american bulldog; he has a blue eye and deafness in the corresponding ear... "Does anyone know if there are members here that have/had deaf dogs/puppies? I'm just wondering if there are any tests that we can do to establish how deaf h...

Re: New amputation, other pets
Hey there, welcome to the "tripod club". :D I agree with Tessa about keeping any contact with other dog to a minimum for at least a few weeks. When Jaida had her amputation, the only other dog in the house was her big sister Gracie, who plays VERY roughly and usually spends most of their p...

Re: xena
Oh Tessa,Liz. My heart is shattered for you. For me; I loved her too, because she gave me hope when I thought there was none. She represents everything I want for my Jaida; I want to see her beautifully grey-muzzled and still gamely hopping along, just like your beautiful warrior princess. I have no...

Oh hon, I'm so sorry your family is facing this right now. :grouph: :grouph: :grouph: :grouph: :grouph: I personally have never had to make the choice. Kim has, for her pup who was dying of liver failure; I just watched the process. There will be days where the decision you need to make will appear ...

Used Bottom's up
Anyone have an old bottom's up or similar lying around that would fit a 75lb rottie? I have a friend who doesn't have a CC to order online and is having a hard time getting her hands on one for her girl who seem to be having some neuro issues...I'll pay for shipping costs to get it to her...
