Felina Snapped Nerve/Amputation

Whew, thanks for the replies. I thought maybe I was a little squirrely for thinking that way. My Felina looks like she can be related to Critter's lovely kitty! PS If Smith Duke is new, hearty welcome to you too. I am an on again off again user and the animals come in to my life, most we get adopted...

thank you for the Advice!

 Little Felina, I have not scheduled it yet, since so many people were approaching me, mentioning nerve surgeries and ideas, etc. My thought was, that if I could have a 96% chance of a surgery working, my husband would say fine, we can just pay it off, no problem. But, with a questionable outco...

amputate snapped nerve?

Guys, thanks so much for the help and advice. I just feel terrible. Which brings me to another *strange* question. I know most of you will run screaming thinking I am a weirdo: but: I really want to ask the Dr. for Felina's paw, so I can give it a decent burial, return it to the earth. I can't stand...

Hi again, that is what I was thinking. I feel that if she has to become a tripod, she wont be any more loved or safe than she could be with us.... but still. I feel so wretched being the one to give the ok when it it not...... mandatory. We had another boy come in recently whose arm was just mangled...

Hi there- Felina's paw is so drawn in under her, that you cannot straighten it out to put a splint on........ I am at my wits end with worry for this little one.

Felina Violet/ to amputate nerve snapped foreleg?

Hello everyone: I need some advice. I found a darling little kitten, whose front leg is paralyzed from the "elbow" down. She walks with it bent under, the paw like folded in. She is wearing thru the fur, and I fear that she may end up wearing thru the fur and skin like PGB Shelby, (the lit...

Felina /nerve paw

Hi There! Thanks for your info. I was considering one of the splints. but as she is a tiny kitten right now, I don't think the smallest one would fit her! ???? Also, now the paw is curling under, and the fur is starting to mat and get worn where she is running on it.... she sure is fast tho! I am so...

concerned: kitten paralyzed paw

Hi: any help is appreciated: found kitten at the pound, supposedly with a broken front leg, the paw just flops around. Vet confirmed by x-ray not broken, said a pulled nerve. If nerve is pulled but NOT snapped, she may regain some use. But if not, she reccomends amputation. She said to give 3 weeks ...

Re: Crippled sweet cat FIV + FeLV pos needs rescue NJ area

Thank for caring about little Shelby. His cards were stacked against him from the beginning. I hope he knows I was trying to help him, and that he knew that he was loved. If he knew that , then everything is ok and right with the world- he is at rest, and made whole. I will see him again ....[/img]

Re: Crippled sweet cat FIV + FeLV pos needs rescue NJ area

Dear All; I wanted to let you know my darling Shelby passed. (The little crippled kitty.) I think the move was too much for him, but the lady taking care of him will be giving me his ashes. My good friend sent me a mini keychain sized urn and I will keep some of his ashes and spread the rest in the ...
