Pressure sores and Spina Bifida

I have several cats with spina bifida. Several of them walk flat footed. But,Tiger my orange fellow is the only one that has problems with pressure sores on the balls of his feet due to abnormal weight bearing. Last week he even took a huge bite out of his foot. Now he is receiving laser therapy but...

Re: Caring for a very uncooperative paralyzed cat?

How about trying to make expressing time a happy time. I adopted a cat off of Craig's list who had a tail pull injury from having hung upside down from a fence for several hours. She had never before been expressed until she came to me. I have had her for several months now and I only feed her durin...

Glad I could be of help. :) My first piggy was named Herbert he was black with a little white on his chest. I loved that boy. Enjoy finding a piggy that will fit into your home. I wonder if 2 babies of the same sex might be better suited for your kitty house.

I love guinea pigs too.
Could you buy a large dog cage and put the rabbit's cage inside to give him a little more protection? You don't want the kitties reaching through to pet the little piggy. :)

Re: 5 day old muscovy cant walk

Could it be CH ? I have a kitten with CH and I guess ducks can have the same problem? Has the baby deteriorated any since he was born? CH is an undeveloped cerebellum.

Re: My Cat broke his spine and is paralyzed now

Glad your kitty is better. Just a thought my paralyzed kitty can't maintain her
body temp. When she shakes I know she is cold which is confirmed with a low temp. Could his possibly be your kitties problem? When Jaime is home she is under a heat lamp.

Re: Trying to express cat's bladder - panicking - please hel

I recently pulled a cat off of Craig's list with nerve damage to her tail area. She had never been expressed before and it took the vet and I holding her to get her expressed. I decided we had to make this more tolerable and pleasurable for us both so I started feeding her only when she was expresse...

That video brought tears to my eyes. What a great mom and dad that boy has. I will never forget when Angel learned to raise his leg and pee.

Hi, sorry to hear about Nova's injury. I know it must be devastating to you. But, remember your baby is still the kitty you have always loved but he just has a spinal injury. I pulled a cat off of Craig's list 2 months ago. Sunshine had hung upside down from a fence for over 2 hours before she was r...

Re: Homemade pill pockets

I made up a huge batch of this using water in place of milk, whole wheat flour and crunch peanut butter. I am keeping it in the refrigerator. I love the consistency. The flour keeps it from being sticky. The dogs love it. It is going to save me a fortune with all that I have to medicate. Thanks Lee.
