Re: Power outage, caught short

Good on the sheet. Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of, the sun and the plastic coating. But I have wire left over on the spool. I plan to reuse the hardware. When I got the posts off Craigslist, the eyebolts and clamps were completely rusted. I got 5 off by soaking them in oil for 2 days and ...

Re: Power outage, caught short

I've only got 3 lines, but I've done that with Millie's blankets. She has bigger blankets than everyone else, and they're thicker like Biederlack. What I was worried about with the PVC was the lines actually snapping, but not anymore now that they are wire. It has a working load of 400 lbs. I can ev...

Re: Power outage, caught short

Sorry, double post. This is what I came up with, that is actually doable in an emergency. Lay 5 clean pads on the floor, close all the doors so the hallway is enclosed on 3 sides, and roll Pip's playpen in from the living room to block the 4th side. He can stay in it as long as it's safe, or I can m...

Re: Power outage, caught short

:thankyou: I think you're right. I've seen reports of cases where animals somehow knew where to move to, to be out of danger? Like a mother cat that moved her litter right before something fell on that spot or whatever? I'm sure Libby would go under the antique dresser in the middle bedroom, which w...

Power outage, caught short

I finally got vinyl-coated wire for my clothesline, so yesterday I was working on replacing the old PVC line. Rusted hardware needing to be soaked in oil and unscrewed or cut off with a hacksaw because it needed new hardware. I worked on it till we lost the light. :saw: :wrench: At bedtime I had 2 l...

Re: Drag bag with wheels?

I don't know if this will work. It starts at about 0:32. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAsDeLP5Rao I found the product by a Google image search. The pics below are from an eBay listing. It appears the scooter is also still sold on Amazon. I noticed the picture of the platform with the blue-grey wa...

Drag bag with wheels?

This little dog is flying down a hallway in a drag bag that looks like it has wheels on it. Looks like he outruns it and it tips up, but it works really well when he backs up for a second. Screenshots from the video are not super clear. This link lets you see it on Youtube starting where he's runnin...

Re: Ramp injuries to dogs

I didn't know they made suitcase ramps that cheap! I was looking at ramps online to see what they had in that price range, but since Millie has used this ramp for years and is now blind, she might prefer sticking with the one she has memorized (provided I made it safe). She is running around this mo...

Ramp injuries to dogs

This is "a thing" and I've never heard anyone really talk about it. Our ramp is for the single step out the back door, and it's about 7 inches high and maybe a yard square. A handyman who lives nearby made it for us. :plane: The first injury we had was Dolly. Chain of events. We had a seni...

Re: ANNPE Diagnosis-Success Stories?

Hi! :D I'm sorry you didn't get notified after the last post. In the past it used to automatically set people for notices by default when they registered, but I haven't looked at how it works lately, that may have changed during one of the software upgrades. I'll check tomorrow. I had writte...

Re: Add a poop pocket (poop catcher) to a disposable dog diaper

 I wondered the same thing when I first watched it. :? She has another video about nonslip dog socks in which she says her dog is a "23 lb cockapoo", so it's possible her dog has a docked tail so she doesn't have to make a tail hole. Otherwise you'd think she'd demonstrate making a ...

Re: Pip diagnosis - Central cord syndrome

Pip can run downhill. You might think, "So?" The thing is, he does not have full use of his front legs, and his hind legs are overcharged, so he tends to bunny hop. His bunny hopping is overly large hops with his hind legs, and often his front legs are crossed at the ankles (not always), s...

Is there a way to ask to share my post in this Forum. I am new here. Did you mean share your post here with people on another platform? The URL for your post here would be https://handicappedpet.net/helppets/viewtopic.php?p=116509#p116509 so you could paste that into your message on another platfor...
