I have a completely incontinent chihuahua. She is in diapers pretty much 24/7 and has not had any UTI's or other complications to my homemade diapers. Please email me if you would like the instructions on how to make them. They are way cheaper to make than to buy. keebleredwards@yahoo.com I know how...

Brooklyn is One now!
Brooklyn is doing very well, our routine has just become part of our day, just as she has become part of our family. We celebrated Brooklyn's first birthday this weekend. You can view pictures under the photo gallery - Brooklyn from Texas.

Re: Adorable, loving 2 pound chihuahua puppy needs caregiver
I have an update on Brooklyn. We have decided to keep her and take care of her ourselves. I feel like God put her in our lives for a reason, and although I don't yet know the reason, it will be revealed with time. Her care is becoming more routine and we love her to death and want to take care of he...

Re: How do I know when it's time to express?
We have an incontinent doggie. She's in diapers. She is perfectly normal otherwise - the best personality I could ask for. When we first discovered her problem - which is some kind of birth defect - she has no sensation in her bottom area/tail/bladder, but she can walk, run, play just fine. Our vet,...

Re: Overwhelmed by urine
My dog is incontinent too. I understand the challenges. The diapers are truly a lifesaver. The store kind are so expensive, though. About $1 each. That adds up quick. I make my own disposable diapers out of puppy pads and they are cheap and easy. Email me if you want the instructions on how to make ...

Re: Dog Food for convenient poo -
I forgot to mention that I am looking for something that will help her put on a little weight without just filling her up with corn because it constipates her. I have read that some people feed their small dogs jarred baby food meat - like chicken or beef as a supplement. Anyone have any luck with t...

Dog Food for convenient poo -
Hi, Everyone! What kinds (brands) of puppy foods are you guys using? I have to express Brooklyn a few times per day and I just want to make sure I am giving her the right kind of food to make her "going" easier. I read somewhere to avoid corn in the ingredients. I bought her a brand of nat...

Re: Daily Life Questions
also, my homemade diapers are snug and comfy and "custom" fit, so they stay on pretty much until I take them off. Brooklyn really doesn't even notice them. Never tries to get out of them. I hope that helps - without diapers that fit her, it would be impossible for me to take care of her. T...

Re: Daily Life Questions
Hello! I too have a tiny, incontinent pet. She weighs 2.3 pounds right now. Still growing. BUT - the XXS diapers at the store were way too big for her too. I made a posterboard pattern and use puppy pads and panty liners or small maxi pads. I use 3 pieces of tape to secure. They are easy to make - o...

Re: Adorable, loving 2 pound chihuahua puppy needs caregiver
Thank you for your post. I appreciate the support I have found in this website and community. I agree - it has gotten easier and more streamlined taking care of her. What do some of you do with your special needs pets when traveling? In Brooklyn's case, she is small enough to go with us for short st...
