Chelsea loves anybody she meets but is very submissive and whiny with strangers. jack wanted to hide and usually peed if he met some...

Re: Thought I'd better pop in too & say HI!

i was in Fort Dodge then. I saw jack all alone in the top cage at the shelter and fell in love with his wobbly little self. he was eight weeks old. That was Sept 06. In Feb. 07, i was asked for some of Jacks blood for a study being done at harvard on CH, I went to the shelter for the mailing kit, an...

Hope Weebs is good, I never found a way for Jack to trust strangers. He was even scared of my son at times. I wish you the best, you deserve it! yes,...

Re: CCD

My rescue dog Angel Baby has been acting disoriented when i let her out to potty. She stands and looks around almost lost and I waited at first f...

Re: not sure what to do now

puremutt, Snoopy looks EXACTLY like my Jack. I envy you the opportunity to love him. Jack had CH and couldn't walk but he was so feisty and full of life, he never missed a minute right up to his sudden passing. He would literally howl for someone to take him potty cuz he wouldn't go in the house eve...

Re: CCD

I always felt for Possum, I know she is happy now and pain free. My gus was kept in a small crate in an apartment for 8 to 12 hours a day till he was 11 mos. old. Then his owners took him to the shelter because he "got too big" for the apartment. What part of St. Bernard did they not get??...

Re: CCD

My St Bernard/ aussie mix has CCD, he takes prozak and so far it seems to help. I have to watch him around people though, he's so big with erratic behavior he scares people. He is an incredible hugger and cuddler and I would never give him up.

Re: Oooohhh The Weather Outside is FrightFul

Oh yeah, we have a fireplace which is handy if the electric goes out. At the time of our storm, I had gotten off work at 6am, put my McCaw, Rocky in his outside cage on the deck (he loves to be outside) and laid down on the couch for a nap. I was awakened at 11am by the wind. By the time I found the...

Re: Oooohhh The Weather Outside is FrightFul

I'm in central Iowa.(yukkk) Karen why on earth do you stay there. I will be moving back to the great Northwest as soon as I can get out of here. It was so cold that when I tried to drive my trail blazer, I heard a godawful noise and the braking system light came on the dash. The chevy service dept s...
