URGENT HELP NEEDED TO SAVE CAT'S EYE!!
I recently rescued Tiggerr from DEATHROW at a HIGHKILL NYC shelter. He developed an eye problem and now if he does not have that surgery his eye will have to be removed! I've already spent $1300 but I lost my job the day after I rescued Tiggerr and 2 other cats from the same deathlist. It was a case...

Re: Eye removal
Thanks Critters! I went by the Ophthalmologist's office to pick up a report and new rx. I hadn't noticed the word "Acute" before. Maybe Tigger's isn't acute but anyway I clarified that he won't have to have the eye removed IF he gets the surgery. So now I have to seek financial assistance ...

Re: Eye removal
Thanks Critters, The "rupture" was in the cornea and perhaps tear would be a better word - although I got it from the Dr. Originally she had explained that there were a couple of weak spots in the cornea. So I think she used "rupture" to describe that they were no longer just wea...

Eye removal
A few months ago I pulled a cat from a highkill shelter with the intention of re-homing him. He had a URI in the shelter but by the time he was transported to me it was much better and seemed to be over soon after I got him. A few weeks later his left eye seemed to get conjunctivitis. I mostly treat...

[quote="MissWhiskers"]I actually got it from one of those pages. I'm trying to get the status - though sometimes I'm so afraid to find out....
But for future reference, is there a page or two that you could recommend?
Thanks,
Karen

Re: Has Anyone had experience with a Total Ear Canal Ablatio
Thank you Critters. I wrote a longer reply several days ago, but it vanished in thin air - which always makes me angry. I passed on that input you gave. Last I knew she was not going to opt for the TECA and was getting some improvement with medication - though I believe she had said that meds have h...

Has Anyone had experience with a Total Ear Canal Ablation??
I just referred a friend to this web site, so hopefully she will be along later, today, maybe. Her issue is about her dog's recurring ear infections which nothing has completely resolved -- and now this procedure is being recommended. It's called a Tubular Ear Canal Ablation, T. E. C. A. So, first o...
