Update on Champ

Hi All,
Champ is doing very well. He is walking on his own...all over the place! He goes outside to pee...I have not cathed him since April 5th! Thank you all for the tremendous support you gave to Champ and I. It is hard to believe just 7 mos ago Champ was paralyzed!

Re: Champ is Walking! and Sometimes He is peeing on his own!

I can't say for sure the coconut oil did this to help Champ, but I do know he is walking. I am so thankful for this. I never thought he would walk again. His surgeon said his was the worst case he had ever seen. Obviously Champ did not know anything about that, he just knew he wanted to get up and g...

I gave the coconut oil to champ for the last 2 weeks ( .5 tablespoon) and yesterday was the first tme he stood up and walked. I was wondering about that because I have never heard of it. I would personall...

I am very happy for you! What wonderful news! I caution anyone to give their dogs anything without discussing it with their vet. Can you please post the information/research about how coconut oil helps dogs with IVDD. I'm sure many of us would be very interested in reading it. Cindi...I don't have ...

Re: New here...having a hard time...

I have a large dog (70 lb lab mix) who just had surgery for a ruptured disc 9 days ago. Does anyone else have a large dog who has gone through this? It breaks my heart - he can't even turn himself over! It is so hard! He does have deep pain and he stretches his legs sometimes. He also knows when he...

Try online places for PBZ; I found it MUCH cheaper at Wedgewood when I got it for Buddy. It "loosens" the bladder sphincter, which, hopefully, will make him more expressable. He might even be able to pee by himself. The surgeons hope is that he will pee on his own. I have not gotten the m...

He feels it will help Champ. I don't know how it works though;Does Champ just pee anywhere then? Does he n...

Re: Dog adjusting to cart.

Hey all, Quick question for ya. Did your dog take awhile to respond and enjoy thier carts? I got mine finished and Koro hates it. he usually tries to lay down while in it which seems to put uneccesary stress on his back so I just take him out of it. He never really tries to go more than a few feet ...

Hi all Just wanted to give you an update on Champ. He is doing well. We are still in and out cathing him twice a day. He is totally wagging his tail now. It is so sweet to see his tail thump everytime he sees me! He has kicked his back legs and can move them where he wants them to be. He can't stand...
