hi paul, no she's not handcapped, in fact, this is the first illness of ANY kind for her. she swims in the river a lot, i'm wondering if perhaps she picked up something there. i'll see how it goes...if she gets it again, i'll put her on the cranberry caps. thanks so much for your prompt and caring r...

Urinary Tract Infection

Hello, My 5 y.o. yellow lab, female, Jasmine, has her first UTI. She's on antibiotics and seems to be getting better (day 3) Doc says if she doens't get better, to check for kidney stones. Any experiences with this or suggestions? Does diet have to do with this? Or what are other possible causes? Is...

urinary tract infections in dogs

I didn't even know animals got UTIs. My 5 y.o. yellow lab, female, started peeing every 10 seconds when we were out walking, then peed in the house, something she's never done. On Memorial Day, I called the vet on call, not my regular vet, who prescribed amoxicillin for her...2 a day every 12 hours....
