Re: My Bailey
I still think about my sweet Bailey. Having the silly kittens around helps me remember all the fun Bailey and I had before he got hurt. I am so thankful for all the support I received on this forum.

Re: My Bailey
I knew our story would not end with Bailey, but this was not what I was planning...... I would like to introduce Sylvester (mostly black) and Hyde (mostly white). We adopted them the last week of May. 6-12 001a.jpg Seth loves his kitties. We have so much fun watching them run around and play. I am a...

My Bailey
Sadly letting you all know my Bailey passed away this morning. He had been getting progressively weaker over the last few months, and over the last week he became more frail until Sunday morning he wasn't able to get up by himself. We spent the last two days saying goodbye, and went to the vet this ...

Re: My Bailey
I came home from work today, called out "Hi Bailey!" and leaned over to pet him-the usual greeting. Bailey looked up at me and (drum roll........) started WAGGING HIS TAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought it was just a nerve twitch or something-he hasn't wagged his tail in years, so I started...

Re: My Bailey
I love this whole thread. You and Bailey are "the way things are supposed to be" in my book. Thank you, that is nice to hear. I feel like the person who did everything wrong. Have to tell you what Seth (4 year old son) said. The last time Bailey had a bad spell, I was explaining to him th...

Re: My Bailey
My Bailey had his yearly check-up today. The vet told me he is doing "amazingly well". :) He's lost a lot of weight over the last year, and had a couple times when he just seemed like he was ready to give up, but he bounced back again. He looked so happy riding in the car, I really should ...

Thanks, I feel better today. I stewed about that remark all day yesterday and needed to vent.

Re: My Bailey
WHY do people (who do not provide ANY care for Bailey) feel they are entitled to provide (unasked for) opinions/advice about his life? I made a comment today (to someone who hasn't been to my house in 9 months) about how I cook Baileys food now because his GI tract can't handle dog food. Next thing ...

Re: My Bailey
I call him "Bounce-Back Bailey". He's gone downhill since my last post (can't believe is been since May), but he's still interested in chasing the birds and occasional stray cat that dares show its whiskers in our yard.

Re: My Bailey
I'm keeping my fingers crossed, we've had three normal poops in a row. I'll wait awhile before I try any regular dog food again. I took Bailey outside and scrubbed him up yesterday-after which he immediatly dug a nice hole, laid down in the dirt and ended up looking worse than when I started....
