Re: Need advice - or maybe just to vent
THank you all for your responses, advice, and support. I don't know how I would get him outside if I don't keep doing what I'm doing. I know you all mean well, but what can I do? Just let him go where he is? I don't think he would even do that at this point. This is a dog that never had an accident ...

Need advice - or maybe just to vent
Hi all, I wrote a couple of years ago about my oldest guy (now 14) CJ needing an amputation. He had his left rear leg removed in April of 2008. As far as that is concerned, he healed up well and thankfully, we didn't have any problems. The irony is that his remaining rear leg is now useless. Just be...

Re: newborn 3 legged chihuahua needs help
I'm not sure if you are talking to me? If you are, I was talking about the chihuahua. Nothing wrong with the staffy! It's just that my big boy only likes little dogs..lol.kiymetli wrote:is that for the chihuahua or the staffy?

Update -Re: Very frustrated, need help or advice or just to
Thank you all so much for all the advice and kind words, it really means so much when you are feeling so helpless and frustrated. Well, good news finally. CJ seems to have gotten over this hump and hasn't had an accident in 3 days! I'm so proud and happy! I have been praising him to the heavens ever...

Re: newborn 3 legged chihuahua needs help
Oh my gosh, there is nothing wrong with a little 3 legged baby! I would love to have him! My 13 year old boy had his left hind leg amputated 4 weeks ago and he's already adjusting and doing really well. So please, please don't worry about him, he'll do just fine! How do you usually sell your puppies...

Re: Very frustrated, need help or advice or just to vent
He's not on ANY meds anymore, all through with them. I had to go out for an hour or so and when I came back I went into the laundry room where I put him and just sat on the floor and hugged him and kissed him and told him how sorry I was and that I loved him and wasn't mad at him and that I just was...

Re: Very frustrated, need help or advice or just to vent
Thank you. I have asked the vet, more than one and nobody knows. I'm sitting here sobbing right now because he's done it twice today, the last time just a little while ago and I had to wash the floor yet again, do yet more laundry and once again clean him up. I'm hoarse from screaming at him and I a...

Very frustrated, need help or advice or just to vent
I posted this in the amputation forum, but thought I'd also post it here. Thank you in advance for any advice you can give me. Hi all, I just found this site and am very thankful I did. I have a 13 year old golden mix, male neutered, his name is CJ. When CJ was 2 (and a year before we adopted him) h...

Re: Very frustrated, need help or advice or just to vent
Hi and thank you for replying. I wish it were that easy. I have done that. I've put pee pads under the blanket and on top of the blanket and he always ends up somewhere else by moving around. But he's not just peeing in place. He's peeing while I'm trying to move him and get him outside and it ends ...

Very frustrated, need help or advice or just to vent
Hi all, I just found this site and am very thankful I did. I have a 13 year old golden mix, male neutered, his name is CJ. When CJ was 2 (and a year before we adopted him) he was in some kind of car accident or hit by a car, but he severely injured his left hind leg. His owners at the time could not...
