Thanks for the tips Bobbie!!

Senior Golden Retriever w. joint problems

Hi all !! Posted this for a friend whose 12 yr old golden retriever Coco has had difficulty getting up these days. She was at the vet's Saturday who has prescribed a 3 week course of Rimadyl. If things improve, the vet suggested a kind of periodic injection that gives lubricating function to the joi...

Budwig diet

Some pet owners here in Hong Kong are feeding their dogs and cats Budwig diet to cure cancer. Wonder if anyone here has tried it before. Any testimonials ?

Not my dog. Just curious.

Thanks heaps !

Medication for heart murmur

It's been almost 7 years since I last posted here when my previous dog got paralysed. I have adopted another dog, Frappy, 6 years ago. He's about 8 or 9 years old (the owner who abandoned him did not microchip him so we do not know his exact age). Anyway, took Frappy to the vet for his rabies shot a...

Re: News: Blanche / wheelchair to donate *PIC*

Dear Sarabeth, Thank you for the update ! I never expected that I would hear from you again. It is soooooo wonderful to hear that Ellie was able to walk again one year after the disc rupture (if I recall correctly) and that she is able to make use of the wheelchair again a few years later. The wheel...

Re: yearly vaccination really necessary ?

THANK YOU EVERYONE !! Been buzzzzzy ..... Rabies shot is a must in Hong Kong and is good for 3 years. Owners here are free to give their dogs annual vaccinations for distemper and parvo etc. A pet nutritionist also advised doing titers. However, it is going to be a costly exercise cos the blood samp...

yearly vaccination really necessary ?

hi there everyone ! long time no "see"! it's time again to take my dog for his annual re-vaccination. i know the holistic approach is to avoid it, or just to take the core ones as they say it may be cancer inducing or lead to other adverse effects if i ask a conventional vet, i'm sure s/he...

Critters, you are wonderful ! Thank you.

Kathy was trying to process my order yesterday but somehow she said the credit card I gave her is not valid. I've just given her another credit card info and hope that I can meet the Thursday shipment.

Mr. Durian has got a cart ! See the pic attached. It's 2nd hand but at least his wound is slowly recovering. In the meantime, I hope that Kathy of Handicapped pets would order the bed for me via email (she said there are some for shipment on Thur and I need to place order immediately). I tried to co...

Thanks Critters ! Must be your email. A Kathy has sent me an email and said they might have a bed by the end of the week. I am awaiting her response if they have a medium-sized one. Pmilner, it was a very very useful post. Thank you so much. I have forwarded it to the volunteers who will be visiting...

Re: Have you tried the SleepPee Bed? Yes I Have!!!

Hi Eternal ! I am trying to order a SleePee Time Bed for a paralysed dog at a dog shelter. Did you get your bed via handicapped pets.com ? I noted that the bed is temporarily unavailable, I do not know if there are other places where I can order it on-line. There are beds available on e-bay but only...

Thank you all for the advice and info !! The poor kitty (Blue) has now been adopted a kind hearted lady. The vet said it's premature to decide whether Blue needs a cart. Two pics attached were taken when the volunteers took her to the vet. The story of Blue has raised much publicity. After it has be...
