If your pet wears a diaper, what do you do

Do they sit in the wet diapers all day? (I'm not passing judgement, I just want to plan for the future.) Mine has a UTI and pees ALOT. A...

Re: First time here, help i'm struggling

The vet said he is now in no pain, he eats & drinks well and has been quite perky apart from the panting and coughing the last couple of days. He even pushes up to a sitting position and crys when I take my other dogs out because he wants to come bless him It's such a hard decision. I would tak...

Re: Golden w/ possible DM

I joined Handicapped pets 6 months ago and as you can see from my first posting, he has slowly been getting worse. I don't post often but do read the Support columns daily. If you could send a good thought to my boy I sure would appreciate it. We are continuing to do EVERYTHING we can for him to ke...

Re: Neuropathy

No. Hers is more of a degenerative nerve disease. Her nerves are disintegrating. It starts at the back legs and moves forward. It progresses, but the rate is unknown. I don't know if there is another name they call it.... polyneuropathy, axonial peripheral neuropathy...either way, I can't seem to fi...

Re: Please help, what next --any more ideas for my 13 y/o lab?

I'm a bit late in getting to your question. I went through a lot with my shep/lab mix a few years ago. you can see his story at: http://www.handicappedpets.com/gallery/ivan11/index.htm There are a lot of answers to your questions there. We were able to keep Ivan going well and happy for another yea...

Re: Canine Poly Neuropathy

I am bumping up this thread because I just found out this is what my baby has.

Anyone else? The progression? The treatment? The rehab? I know no one can answer the progression question, but I'd like to hear what others have found helpful.

Re: incontinence products for large dogs

Hi! Thanks for posting this information. I looked them up and am trying to picture how they work. Is this the product here? http://www.depend.com/products/individual/easyfit.asp Did you cut a hole for the tail, or how did you make them fit? I would like to add this info to our diaper size chart to ...

Re: Help needed Rear Leg paralysis.

Oh, and this page is good too. It lists different companies and shows the type they offer.

Some you back your dog into, come you lift them into, some have belly bands, etc.

Good luck.

Re: Help needed Rear Leg paralysis.

I have been looking at Carts and clueless as to which to pick. I am also looking into getting a cart. I'm looking at all the options and this site seems to give a good description of what each cart is used for. http://www.eddieswheels.com/ For myself, I'm looking more towards a cart that at first w...

How do you do this? :? Has anyone used mousse from this site? Or do you use dry shampoo? Or wash your dog everytime? The weather will not permit us to do this come winter! The harnesses get washed by harnd but I'm wondering if there is anything specific that anyone uses that does a really good job? ...
