Re: Bella the pug puppy
Carolc- I honestly do not think it is Lyme. The only thing I know at this point is I am scared to death I might lose her and nothing but her physical care is under my control. I know that the vet covered evrything they could possibly think of with medication and whether it was long enough I think cl...

Re: Bella the pug puppy
FYI- In regards to your post: She can be re-tested or it may still not show? She was given a battery of different antibiotics and drugs to cover an array of infectious diseases while waiting for the results of the tests. Could/would/should that have taken care of it? Could that cause a vascular even...

Re: Bella the pug puppy
K9 East- but because her hind leg was getting movement they suggested that it would inhibit her. I talked to Cyrstal-and all has been great with the cart. She is growing and may need some adjustments tho. I do want to snuggle with her as I did with my long time pug of 13 years before she passed and ...

Re: Bella the pug puppy
Quick question: The bag will protect her when she drags but does it also protect floors from her accidents? I have tile in all of my downstairs area that my dogs are allowed but it would be nice to one day take her to bed with me. The only reason she didn't sleep with me before this happened is that...

Re: Bella the pug puppy
Carolc- Thanks for your response. We are going to express her at least 3 times a day just to be sure. I know she is peeing because I have had the pleasure of her doing so on me several times in the last few day. My day is not complete unless she pees on me  I actually was able to express her t...

Re: Bella the pug puppy
The most common symptom of Lyme disease in dogs is a reoccurring lameness that may shifts from leg to leg. Most commonly, it is a front leg that is effected and the lymph node on the shoulder of that leg may be enlarged. Many of the sick dogs are depressed and run fevers. Occasionally I find that t...

Re: Bella the pug puppy
Critters-thank you for your input. I worry about the cause-hoping that it isn't a progressive condition that will eventually kill her. If it were to ascend and affect her ability to breathe-etc-it would prove to be fatal. When I made the statement about emptying her bladder---she will let us but we ...

Re: FCE care advice
Hi everyone, Bella was diagnosed with a lesion on her spinal cord-possibly an FCE at 6 months of age. All started April 1st , 2009 and she went from wobbly to dragging. She then went from dragging to standing to wobbly walking-but today she went to dragging again and it is very upsetting. Does anyon...
