St. Bernard limping on front leg for over a month.

Hello, I haven't posted on here in a few years, but my Saint (Sophie) has been doing great! We moved to a new house and shes adjusted wonderfully! However, about a month ago she came inside and seemed to be limping on her front right leg. I assumed that she sprained it while digging in our yard (she...

Cat aggressive toward dogs

Hello. My parents just moved into a smaller space and the dogs (Saint and Aussie) don't have as much space. They used to stay in the kitchen/laundry area (which was huge) plus the huge back yard. Now they have a much smaller kitchen with no laundry room to retreat to and a tiny backyard. Now they wo...

Re: St. Bernard with hair loss

She is going in on Friday. They will more than likely do a skin scraping. I hope it's nothing serious, my poor baby girl has been through enough! Also, she let me feel her skin today and she doesnt have bald spots. It's weird. There also doesn't appear to be any sores or scabs that I could see. Plea...

St. Bernard with hair loss

Hello again! I have posted about Sophie, My St. several times these past six months. She is doing so much better and has not been aggressive at all since the last time. However, I have noticed in the past two days that she has these little tufts of hair on her hips (or upper back legs/thighs) that w...

Re: Saint with sudden agression toward "brother" dog.

Where do you get this "well" game? Sophie has been very great since I separated her that night. In situations where I know she is tempted to lash out toward Bo, She will look at me and I will say "Sophie, be a good girl" in a stern but loving voice and she moves on... even when B...

Re: Saint with sudden agression toward "brother" dog.

I have posted a similar post before when she first started being aggressive. This time was... not necessarily worse but a big ordeal (because of the cat). I normally post a new post when a new event happens, because I like to hear more than one persons view on things. I am not sure why she was passe...

Re: Saint with sudden agression toward "brother" dog.

Thanks! What is bothering me is wondering if its Behavioral or Medical aggression. We cannot afford a bunch of tests, we just CANNOT which is just terrible. But She is only aggressive in a social setting, like when they are both getting attention, or when she is getting attention and he walks up. I ...

Re: Saint with sudden agression toward "brother" dog.

No, but she shows no signs of vision problems. She plays fetch and catches treats in her mouth. I think it might be a dominance thing.

Saint with sudden agression toward "brother" dog.

Alright, I was calmly watching TV about an hour ago, Sophie (my saint) and Bo (my Aussie, Sophie's brother) were laying in the living room- everything was great. Bo came over to get attention from me and my mom and Sophie got up and bit him a few times (she has been pretty aggressive toward him sinc...

Re: 8 year old Himi/Pers cat had episode... is this a seizur

Yeah I hope so. My vet told me that sometimes, if it is a minor seizure, it is possible for them to just have one for reasons unknown and never again. But, yes I have the same problem that you have, she is always hiding somewhere cozy and quiet. Sometimes she is out of sight all day, so I wouldn't k...

Re: 8 year old Himi/Pers cat had episode... is this a seizur

I have been keeping an eye on her. The problem is that she has always been kind of a loner, so she finds quiet secluded places to sleep (or maybe she is just a cat! lol more reserved than my other cat, though). So if she were to have another "episode" I might not know... other than how she...

8 year old cat with seizure like episode.. help!

Last night when the family was all watching TV, my 8 year old (Persian/Himalayan-female) cat was sitting on the arm rest of the couch (like she always does), when she looked at us, her head was twitching and her eyes kept darting back and forth like she couldn't control them and they were dilated he...

Re: St. is agressive to her "brother" dog since vet stay. He

Thanks for your response. Sophie isn't aggressive like that. She was one year old when we got her and she had been in and out of several homes before we rescued her from a vet tech (her owner) who was about to put her to sleep because they couldn't find a home for her (my friend heard about her and ...

Re: St. is agressive to her "brother" dog since vet stay. He

Yeah, well I don't think she is at all in pain, I know she is stubborn, always has been. She just has been upset with the Aussie since she got home (very affectionate with us). She has always been the Dom in the house, but he just tries to play with her and she gets mad and starts snapping at him fo...
