Re: Six week old kitten with twisted back legs
Hi Mary, Sounds like you are doing everything right for little Cherry. I had a paraplegic cat” Trooper” that lived for a year after being run over by a car. It was my first kitty that couldn't use his back legs. The tray for litter is exactly what I did and it worked great. He got a long as well as ...

Re: RIP my sweet Bendikins
I am soooooo sorry for your loss. I'm reliving losing my Fuzzy Heart Kitty through your words. I know the feeling of "was it my fault, did I miss something, should I have done something else?" We all question ourselves when we grieve. But with prayers, God let me know it was just His Time,...

Re: NJ: Baby Manx in danger before even having a chance
This little sweetie is so adorable! Wish I could take her, but my cat number has risen to 9 and dog number has risen to 14. One of the best kitties I ever had was a little manx boy named Gizmo. He had been run over at 6 weeks, but was still alive. After surgeries, he did really well and lived 11 yea...

OH, WILL SOMEONE PLEASE HELP THIS POOR DOGGIE!
THIS REMINDS ME OF WHEN I TOOK TROOPER (NOW IN KITTY HEAVEN) HOME...I had him for a year, a wonderful, love-filled year. I will never forget him, I'm so glad I took a chance to take a handicapped kitty.

Re: Ringold, GA Blind Deaf Aussie 10 months old NEPTUNE
Oh, Christine, I'm so glad you posted Neptune here. I thought you might. He's so beautiful, reminds me of my very first rescue, my heart dog Mannie. I know how tough it is to have a deaf and blind animal. My heart cat, Fuzzy, has become almost totally blind, and partially deaf. He's 16 now and has d...

What a great photo! Thank you so much Debbie for taking Tanner! He looks like a little sultan on his pillow...the good life! I know he's in heaven. And thanks Karen for opening you're heart and home to him. He was blessed to have you for his foster mommy/angel. I bet you miss him a lot! And I'm sure...

My Cinderella has joined the others...
 So sorry. Seems like the only time I post now is to let y'all know I lost another little one. It's been a very tough 11 months. Last April, Mr. Kitty crossed the bridge, to be followed by my little Coe kitty in August. Then Rufus, my adorable old weenie dog, left us in October, followed quickl...

Re: Free food for rescues
Morning Christine! :morning: I know we've never talked about this before, but I was introduced to the Purple Button by my animal rescue friend Neala, who now resides in Portland. That was about 2 1/2 years ago. I've been clicking it daily ever since. I selected the "email notification" fro...

Re: Snuggle Safe Warning!!
I'm so glad you are all okay. I almost bought some of those, but I have so many babies it would cost too much. Instead I bought childrens sleeping bags. Works real well inside the dog houses, good padding, & soft. By the way, Happy early Birthday! Ya'lls safety & well-being is the best birth...

Re: Trooper & I are new here
Thanks so much everyone, for your sweet comments and heartfelt concern. :thankyou: Karen, my dearest friend, what would I have done without you? You are right about him having his own room...actually, he and the other kitties shared my 2 back rooms. We created a "window" in between the 2 r...

Re: Trooper & I are new here
2009-11-14 11.38.47-1.jpg Wow...this is so very hard to post. Tears keep blurring my vision. Yesterday at 11a.m. Trooper died in my arms. It was peaceful, quiet and quick. After a short bout last month with a UTI, he bounced back healthy as ever...eating like a pig, sliding after his girlfriend kit...

Re: blood in urine/not eating
:thankyou: Thank you so much Karen for all your help, and for the help and advice of everyone else here. I can definitely take Trooper off the emergency list. With all your suggestions and "aids" he is doing beautifully. He's peeing, pooping, and playing. He's so happy to have his kitty gi...
