Quaker Parrot Missing Part of Toes

Been awhile! Things have been hectic, and in that hectic mess I became the mom to a Quaker Parrot. Ryzer belongs to a friend of mine who is in the psych ward for the next 6 months. She tried to kill herself while Ryzer was in the car and when they broke the window to get her out, he glided away and ...

Re: Kitten with deformed front and back legs

What a CUTE BABY! He sure got the right human mom to look after him. No words of advice, other than let him figure it out. My Stewie did, and he never figured out that he was a special baby.

Re: Portland, OR - 12 yr old Female Cat

The house she has been living at has been sold, so she has until the 30th to get a new home or live in my mothers garage for the rest of her days. I'm not sure if this should be moved to urgent...

Re: hooray!! I finally got myne bday cake!

My kitties are VERY jealous of your b-day cake! Stanley is grumbling about only getting dried salmon. I told him it's not my fault he has a sensitive tummy.

Re: Round 1 - Vet 0 - Sasha's Mom 1

Unfortunately neither Petsmart nor Petco has a choice in the rabies paperwork. Private vets can do it regardless since they are not part of a big box store, but they can't. They can literally be fired for it. Not enough people stand up to their vets. I know I came close to biting Banfields head off ...

Re: It happened...

We have two "illegitimate" children together, Stanley Tweedle a 3 year old cow cat (Who is my fiancees) and Adair my 1.5 year old tuxedo. Stanley was found outside a Gamestop with his sister at about 3 months old. His sister I adopted out and my fiance insisted that he wanted Stanley. Adai...

Re: Portland, OR - 12 yr old Female Cat

Dooba's old owner would rather put her down than go through the work to try to find her a home. I'm so disgusted with her right now. Please, spread the word. She is a great cat and deserves a wonderful end to her life.

Re: everytime mom goes away, someone dies

Oh no, what a horrible thing to happen while away. I too worry what will happen when I'm not here. Now that I have two 6 month old kittens to look after, I have to keep them in the main rooms, no bedroom, bathroom or balcony. They are way more trouble than either Stanley or Adair was at this age. Ad...

Re: Portland, OR - 12 yr old Female Cat

Dooba is still available! She will be homeless in a matter of weeks when the home she lives in is sold. I did find out more about her; she is a HUGE trooper! When she was younger she decided being inside a car hood was a good idea and got sliced open by a fan. She didn't come home for 5 DAYS with he...

Re: Disabled dog & agression towards other dogs

The trick to getting a dog to listen to you in any situation is making yourself more important than what they would rather play with/watch/eat/kill/ect. The basics of any puppy training class is practicing EVERYWHERE, and never in a situation to begin with that an item/thing is nearby that is more i...

Re: Disabled dog & agression towards other dogs

When a dog feels they can't defend themselves, they often will lash out first rather than wait. The leash creates a HUGE problem for dogs, because they don't have a choice between flight or fight. And being a terrier, everything is magnified. Head collars are wonderful for controlling this. Practice...
