Re: Hemivertebrae-Future?

Hello and :violet: Your dog is absolutely darling, and looks very happy. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with this condition, but I hope someone with more experience will be able to give you some better insight soon. I looked at the radiograph you linked. Wow! I've never seen the patella's drawn up t...

Every office is different due to different billing and record-keeping systems, but yes all of them should agree to give copies or do a transfer of information at an owner's request. Sometimes you have to ask specifically for full lab reports, but it can definitely be done.

Canada was a success :)

Hi All, sorry I've been MIA lately... Quite a while back I mentioned trying to plan a trip to Prince Edward Island, Canada with my mom and my kitty Cricket. We finally went the end of last month, and it was a success :) It was overwhelming for the humans - three hour commute to the airport then thre...

Re: doxie with severe skin issues - PLEASE HELP!

Did they actually send blood in for an allergy panel or did they just call it allergies? That looks suspiciously like mange to me. I saw that scrapings were done, which is how you find mange, but the little boogers can be hard to find... It looks like he's had a lot of other drugs thrown at him, so ...

Re: FCE in 6yr old Border Collie

Chris and Ally,

I'm so pleased to see this good news! It sounds like Brock is doing beautifully! It's really great that you're going to do the water therapy, too. He will enjoy that and be getting stronger at the same time. :)

Re: FCE in 6yr old Border Collie

Hi there! I'm sorry for the trauma you and your dog have been through. I see this was a couple days ago. Sounds like he was making good strides in recovery. How is he now? I don't have personal experience with FCE, but I do know that spinal injuries of any sort are serious. It's a delicate situation...

Re: Pls help - cat w/use of all 4 legs & bladder nerve dmg

That's wonderful that she's continuing to try using the litter box - both for wee and poop - and that the meds seem to be working well together. I would question the advice you got about only expressing once in 24 hours - that's far too long in my opinion. Feeding a wet diet also should produce more...

Re: German Shepherd in Kearney, NE area RESCUED!!!

Hey Everyone! I am able to keep contact with LG on Facebook, and Kite is still doing great out there in Utah. His family has grown! LG works with Laura at Healing Hearts and adopted another dog from there. She is currently fostering a puppy as well! The pictures are from the winter months, but I tho...

Re: Pls help - cat w/use of all 4 legs & bladder nerve dmg

Hi there, My cat Cricket also has use of all four legs. I got her in September of 2009, and she requires daily expressing. I had a bit of an advantage because I am a vet tech, but what I was taught was pretty general. You don't really get good until you have to do it all the time. It took a while fo...

Re: Travel Tips to Canada with Cricket?

Jean, yes, I vaccinate yearly. There is a very high incidence of rabies and distemper in the local wildlife of my area. They are horrible diseases, and no way my babies are going to suffer from them. I'm aware of the studies, although I take them with a grain of salt. Well, Thanks All! Hoping to mak...

Re: Travel Tips to Canada with Cricket?

Thanks for the reply!! Leaving her at home is almost harder than taking her. I had a bad experience early on when I left her overnight once, and they forgot she was incontinent. When I got her back, huge bladder and all, I was livid. That's was the first and only time I left her anywhere. She also g...

Re: 14-yo Cat NEW to Sub-Q, kidney/constipation - advice?

Welcome! and Kudos to you for working so hard to help your buddy. :trophy: I'm glad he's been having some successful bowel movements now. His tract is probably going to be irritated for a while and he could develop mega colon from the stretching so I agree massage is a good thing to do. I have to do...

Travel Tips to Canada with Cricket?

Hi All, I am wanting to plan a trip to Canada with my mom to see Prince Edward Island next year. My incontinent kitty Cricket would be going along and I'm wondering if anyone has some insight for air travel and the rules for a pet cat to cross into Canada and back. I have taken Cricket by car to man...
