did you see the blind and seizere-ridden dog video? he found a new friend in a scaredy-dog who had been shot . the latter seems to really enjoy guiding his new friend. and the blind, seizure-ridden dog is reported to be seizure free since the hook up.now they just need a home.

Re: Bladder Infection
sorry, don't really have any insight - but dogs being expressed are more prone to infection. why not just keep him on the antibiotic prophylactically? you should add aciphydus ( yogurt) to maintain the "good" bacterias.

my grandmother's cat gets hairloss and crusty like nodules on her skin at times. i think it may be from within her system (like autoimmune) . My mother now cares for this cat and she has tried bathing with different things- cat does not mind the bathing! groomer told her to use head and shoulders pe...

Re: Deramaxx alternative?
Used Deramaxx for a past dog. she took aspirin also. one vet suggested i give ascriptin- which is aspirin with maalox; more expensive than regular aspirin but buffers the effects. just looked up aspirin dosing for my brother's dog- apparently there has been one, possibly two, studies that showed ent...

I agree with citters. i would watch it from afar- there is an antibiotic eye med for cats you can get from any of the catalogs; (terramycin?) I would give it time to heal and if it looks like it is really not healing - i would get the eye cream and sneakily attempt to apply some. one applicationis b...

accupunture explained and ideas
Found this man on u tube so i have no contact with him. What i like is people who can solve a problem in thier little niche in the world.( Even if it costs them revenue; a bigger +) This vet has a great idea ( i think) using surgery staples to stimulate the accupunture points so that you are not mak...

Re: Any experience with Cosequin?
I had some cats on cosequin - can't say as i honestly remember if it did much good for them. given- it is not a med but a suplement so results over time... i also gave it to a dog and do believe it helped her -she had very stiff (arthritic) joints. The cats - I opened capsules and mixed it with inte...
