Re: A couple more links
I also found this link, again about osteosarcoma, at the end of it there is a photo of a forelimb amputee. There is also a link that says "another happy amputee" and it takes you to a short video (12 secs) of an amputee taking owner for a walk in a park. Might be useful for people who have...

Marina, try these people!
Marina, you or your vets may want to try to get in touch with this company, they seem to be doing a lot of work with MPS VI and enzyme replacement therapy in humans, based on results in cats. At least they should be able to help you locate the stuff! BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. 371 Bel Marin Keys B...

Re: Links on cats unable to use hind legs
Ok, Marina, let's hope they manage to find it and it is of some use. Do let us know how you get on, if I come across anything else I will let you know,

Re: fibrosacroma
Hi Janet, I have a friend with a 4 yr old Golden Retriever whose front leg was amputated at the shoulder. He is very happy, active and playful, he is also the neighbourhood's favourite dog! I imagine he could be a similar size or even larger than Laura's lab mix. As the others have said I am sure yo...

Re: Scout update.....:)
Good for Scout! I hope he carries on improving. I was looking up things about cortical blindness after anaesthetic, and it says sometimes vision can take days to return, and children with cortical blindness can even take months or years (now I think of it, I have a cousin who was born with hydroceph...

Another hello!
I wish we had people like you at a few veterinary clinics in Spain! We don't even have spay&neuter clinics here :-( Despite the problems he's suffered, Scout was very lucky to find somebody like you there to take him in... I hope he continues to make progress, I'm sure you'll get lots of support...

Thank YOU!
Hi Mark, no need for thanks. One of my cats, Kat, is probably only alive and well because I found this board and that put me onto Legume's story, and some of Bendy's suggestions really helped Kat. It also made me realise that people exist who understand why you do not want to put an animal to sleep ...

As far as I know, he sends it out free because it's still in the experimental phase. I think somebody here on the Board has used it, but I'm not sure...

Look what else I found
There is a video report of the kangaroo with his new leg on this link. I can't watch it though cos I managed to screw up my computer and not everything works (if only I really were a genius these things wouldn't happen!)

He probably won't come after all...
They convinced the girl who owns him to keep him. In fact she wanted to, but she lives with her mother who wasn't so happy about it. But they have other animals and he is already well adapted to that situation there. Finally they convinced the mother. We will be keeping in touch with her to check he...

I imagine this is same article?
I found this similar article, by the same author in the Philadelphia Inquirer, but the title is slightly different: "Getting Animal Amputees up and Running Again." I have put the link and also pasted the article below (not sure if I'm allowed to do that) if people would rather read it here...

Re: Sara¦s development after FCE
Hi Pavla,
Hope you are all enjoying the break away from it all. I am so pleased to hear that Sara is progressing, it all sounds very positive. It sounds as though she is really happy.
Look forward to hearing news of more improvements!
Take care
