Trish I still cry even after ten months. It is sad to see them stumble, but they don't care, they get up and move on. I can't train in obedience anymore, cause my boy just doesn't have the stamina, but we still go through the paces in our own way and at our own pace. He will continue to amaze you as...

You are so right, we can never give up on our friends. Your boy sounds like a real character. I was a little concerned when my dog had his left front leg amputated ten months ago now. He weighs 50lbs and that bothered me and your boy at 150lbs what a miracle he is. I love the pictures of your babies...

Hi Thereseaas I am so sorry about your girl, I do remember very well how beautiful she was. The picture of her in your backyard before you moved was very cute. She was your girl and you did the best for her in the end, not making her linger in fear or discomfort. I thought of the two of you and the ...

Peter Glad to hear you are still around. It is very heartening to know you may want to get another dog. I find it very strange that a breeder of Mal's would not want to let you adopt a dog. Few people in this world would go to the lengths you did to save their companion. I think of Crazy Bear often ...

Re: New mom of 3 legged poodle: questions
Hello Libby Good for you for taking a three legged dog into your life. Cassidy may not have had to do steps before or was limited to a few. She should get used to them with out any problems. Are the steps carpeted? If not that may be difficult. My dog lost his left front leg eight months ago and was...

How is your litte Xena doing? You are always concerned about others and I was thinking of your girl and wondered how she is these days.

Re: update
Those fun pictures say it all. How wonderful to see a happy, pain free dog. I guess all tripods have a lot in common cause she reminds me of my boy with that silly smile, tonge out to the side and balancing on her back for a belly rub. She looks so proud of herself and should be after all she endure...

Re: Crazybear
Peter Very strange, as I was drifting off to sleep last night I thought of you and your girl. I prayed for you, I know you might not think that is the corrrect thing to do, but it is all I know how to do for those in need. I know you are a wreck, a shell right now. Crazy Bear wants you to go on but ...

Now that is what an incision is supposed to look like, no wonder she is doing better. How relieved you must be to be over the big hill. Hopefully she will be a good girl for you and no more complications. Life really throughs some tough ones sometimes.

Re: update
poor little jaida, what a lot for her to go through. Being at the vet and doing well right now is good news. They can really pump her with pain meds. I know they hate to see dogs hurting, my vet was like that. I remember the vet telling me that Luke wasn't feeling any pain after the operation, he wa...

Re: update
I know you are very upset, but at least you tried. You will see a much better healing now. She will be fine. I thought my dog Luke would never do as well as he does. She is young and strong and very much loved. Her other front leg will become even stronger than before. I could see by the pictures th...
