Re: Crazybear
Peter I know Crazy Bear was very ill, but how did this happen so quickly to her. Did she just pass away in her sleep? I have been thinking about you and her, it is amazing how she has touched the lives of many here. The website is the best and let all who visited come to know her almost in a persona...

Re: Crazybear
Peter I can't expess how sorry I am at your girls passing. It has been the last few days that I have been visiting her website. After leaving it I am in awe of her beauty and grace. Your life together was a precious journey. Your struggle for her is now over, now you must struggle for yourself. Craz...

Re: Worried for my new pup!
Hi Lisa Lola will adapt to her disability and with your love and support will be a happy girl. I hope all your pups check out healthy at the vet. You may even try her as a therapy dog for people with disabilities. If you stay with the forum you will learn so much and talk to people with so many good...

I think sometimes we forget that dogs pick up bugs just like we do. I myself don't have very many pain free days, but us humans just do what we have to. Our dogs show their discomfort a lot clearer than we do. My four legged dog Sallie gets stomach upsets and lays around and won't eat much for a few...

Re: We had our phonecall -his leg's gone
I was so pleased to hear how well Oscar is doing. So much you said is so similar to what my boy does. They play hard and do so much, yet the walks really poop them out. Oscar is a real character, I love the video of him playing. I have actually found a more comical side of Luke emerge since the ampu...

Re: THANK YOU TO EVERYONE
hi Dewey's mon You are doing the best thing for Dewey. My dog lost his left front leg to cancer six months ago and is doing real good. He is not able to go as far or run as fast, but he is still the happy boy he always was. Someone mensioned the heat, that really bothers Luke also. Is Dewey a minitu...

Re: Rhys - 6 weeks post amputation
Rhys is beyound amazing. Those shots are great and he is so athletic looking, nice and thin. It looks like all that comes before and after the surgery is so worth it when you see this beautiful dog running and just being a happy, normal dog.

Xena looks so cute in that coat. I guess it is harder to find something for the back legs. A tee shirt worked great for Luke, I hope someone can come up with something for Bella

Re: Bella will have her leg amputated tomorrow
I can't believe she jumped on and off your bed, she is in great shape and that is a plus when something like this happens. After my dogs bandage was off I put a small tee shirt on him and kept it on till he was healed and his hair started coming back in. He never licked his incision once with the sh...

Oh Melissa your devotion is beyond words for your beloved Shasta. My advise is simple, pain relief. Any caring vet will help you with this problem also you may want to have a home visit from your vet. Shasta sounds like a real gem and sometimes we don't want to loose them, but they don't have regret...

Re: Bella will have her leg amputated tomorrow
I will be thinking of Bella tomorrow. She will amaze you how fast she will recover after surgery. That is a lot to come off, it is like the front legs that need to come off shoulder and all. I was touched by your 15 year old cat, I have one that is 20 and she is still doing ok. She looks like heck b...

Re: Introduction--recent amputee dog
Timber sound like a real gem. They are amazing how fast they adapt. My dog Luke is at his 5 month point. He went to the vet for a check up yesterday and all is well at this point. He had a low grade sarcoma in his left front leg at the elbo joint. He did not have to have any further treatment, but n...

Hello Robin Your Jackson sounds like a great dog. Remember for the most part is is easier to loose a rear leg, so Jackson at least has some advantage. I have a 5 1/2 year old aussie that lost his left front leg 5 months ago. He does real good and still plays and runs. He isn't as fast or agile as he...

Re: Why am I second guessing my decision
Hi Cathy Just wanted to send my best also. I was just outside with my dog, who had his left front leg amputated four months ago. He, I and my other dog take a little walk down to a road behind my house with woods behind it. He still runs almost as fast as he did before the amputation, not as pretty ...
