Re: CEREBELLAR HYPOPLASIA in a kitty need information

Thanks again! I've been experimenting with a few designs, but none of our cats like high heights, so this 2-foot tall thing is fine with them. I'm thinking of selling them, working on another right now! *E-mail or PM me to discuss, so as not to take away from this CH kitty discussion. He is going in...

Re: CEREBELLAR HYPOPLASIA in a kitty need information

Thanks you guys! Little Tiger is still growing and I agree she needs time to get steady on her legs. We also don't know her history, as we got her from the SPCA we volunteer at, and she was sharing a medium-sized cage with 2 other cats, but her exercise was probably minimal. Here's Little Tiger chas...

Re: CEREBELLAR HYPOPLASIA in a kitty need information

Thanks for the info about CH kitties, you guys! We have one adult CH cat and she is doing great. We are fostering another one, a 7-month-old kitty, and she is more wobbly on her feet. 1. Is it possible she will improve as she grows and gains strength in her spindly legs, gets more practice getting a...

Re: dog carts

I have a dog with Dm and diabetes. Her rear legs are nearly paralysed, but her front legs are still strong. The diabetes is under control, so I would like to build a cart for her to get around and keep her circulation going. I have seen the plans available on www.handicappedpets.com and need someth...

Re: cart modifying

Hi, Rich I'm just running ideas around. I have no idea how this would work or if it could work. There must be some way to fix a cart so the back legs can get involved. You obviously have expertise in this area! What do you think? Thanks! Kathy We usually just lower the cart so the rear paws are tou...

Re: modifying wheels

My Corgi is starting to get some sensation in his rear legs. He's been using a cart with slings but his therapist thinks it would be beneficial for him to have his legs in a more normal position. Problem is, with short Corgi legs, his legs splay out and he nearly runs over his toes or he drags his ...

Re: Discrimination against an amputee - Question

I would be glad to build your dog a simple cart/wagon for transport from house to the dog-walking area, if you pay for materials. I will use spare parts of mine that you don't have to pay for also. I think we can keep the cost under $25-30, wood, maybe aluminum and some wheels I already have. I am t...

Re: lady with 85 lb dog

Here I am! I am actually designing a sort of ramp that acts a "loading dock" for loading large dogs into carts. The dog's rear end would be placed on a flat platform with small wheels, then the platform would roll up the ramp which has an open middle, allowing the dog to walk with his fron...

Yep, or split up the trip

I'll drive the cat part of her journey. I'm in central NJ and would drive her up into NY State 100+ miles or so.
