I am so sorry for your loss. You did the right thing for Sasha. Most importantly, Sasha was loved for 12 long beautiful years. My heart aches for you. I hope you have good support from your friends and family.

Re: twelve year old dog suddenly paralyzed
Personally I think it is a very good sign that you feel there is some change. I have been told that the first 3 months are the most important as far as getting motion and movement back. You are still within that time. I have also been told it can take up to 6 months. Max is already I think starting ...

Re: twelve year old dog suddenly paralyzed
I am told that I am lucky that only Max’s right leg is affected. I have been once now to physical therapy to help with muscle mass. Here are a few things that I have been told. 1. Re: Somthing that will hold diaper in place.
I agree that if your dog does not have a tail you can use any diaper and I would try the ones with the elastic around the legs. I am sorry I did not see the size of your dog, but I know that in children diapers you should get the overnight brands they tend to hold more urine.

My dog just diagnosed with FCE
My best friend Max has just been diagnosed with FCE. I came home last night to find him unable to move. His right rear leg is completely paralyzed. I have had Max for about 3 years now. He is a rescue Labrador around 4-5 years old. Just a few hours earlier he was swimming and playing, having the tim...
