Help for a paralyzed cat months after injury?

I am considering the adoption of a cat (Zeppelin) that is paraplegic after being shot by a pellet gun last September. His owners were unable to pay for the surgery to remove the pellets, which they were told may not allow him to walk again anyhow, so they chose to provide the best for him without su...

Re: Help! 6 yr old golden with 2 torn ACLs

If you are able to fund TPLO surgery in any way I would highly suggest it. It saved my 85lb Pit Bull/Great Dane over five years ago. I used Care Credit. He would need a cart to help withy recovery since it is both sides. If this is not an option, there are some special braces you can get custom made...

Re: Testing the waters (pics included!)

Thanks, critters! I talked with Zeppelin's foster mom yesterday and got a lot of good info. I'll make a post in the other section to talk about him some more. She said he's off and zooming as soon as he's in his cart, which is so awesome for a cat! His injury was in September, so not even half a yea...

Testing the waters (pics included!)

I am new to the forum, and am in the very early stages of looking into the possibility of adopting a special needs kitty. I lost my Sabrina just shy of her 20th birthday last September. She was able to have nearly five years of happiness and health after her hyperT/CRF diagnosis (she actually wasn't...

My Amazing Sabrina

I couldn't think of participating here without giving tribute to the best cat to ever enter my life. I am honestly worried she has ruined all other cats for me, because she had such an exceptional personality, and so far no other cat has come close to what she was for me. Not that she was extra swee...
