Re: Diaper problems w/Pug

Yeah, belly bands don't work, his dillywacker is just too far down. I'm not concerned w/poop...it's firm and easy to pick up. Wait, check that...he picks it up himself, most of the time. He has always eaten his own poop, from day one. I've tried everything to break him of that too, but he just ain't...

Re: Whys it Seem Some Vets Are Quick to Suggest "Euthanasia"

Honestly I think it's because MOST people cannot/will not do what is needed. Or, ANY sort of "disability" must mean the animal is "suffering". When the ol' lady Pug, Abby was still with us, she needed a wheel chair. Took to it like a fish to water. I took her to the park and one ...

Re: Diaper problems w/Pug

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I did not know such a thing existed! I'm going to try the Tinkle Trousers. I hope I ordered the right size. The breed chart listed one, but on measuring, it was smaller, so we shall see. If I'm not happy w/this, I'll try the Peekeepers next. I was a bit torn between the two, but l...

Re: Back belt for dogs?

I have been giving him Pain Away, a Glucosamine, MSM, and two other natural supplements, twice a day and no issues since then. His brother also began showing symptoms of back pain and he's getting some too. No issues with either of them.

Re: Back belt for dogs?

Thanks, I did find one. While it is primarily designed for "high" back issues, it does go all the way down. But, so far, so good. I've been giving him various supplements, made sure he can't jump off the deck anymore and trying to keep him calm. Hasn't tweaked it in a bit, so fingers cross...

Re: Back belt for dogs?

O.K., so looking at back braces. Seems they are all designed for injuries up high on the torso, his is down low, by his butt, makes it a bit more challenging (those darn dilly whackers are just in the way). I'll keep looking. Thanks for the tip. Back belt for dogs didn't get me anywhere.

Back belt for dogs?

One of my Pugs, Brody, was recently diagnosed w/narrowed vertebra. Every so often, he tweeks his back and is in extreme pain. Then it's a pain pill and ice. I've been working on keeping him as mellow, but he's a spaz and thinks he's being punished when I don't let him out. He's litter box trained, s...
