Re: urine oder eliminator
I use Odoban from Home Depot, comes in a huge gallon container, and its concentrated, for like $12. Works sooo well. Citrus, Lavender and Eukalyptus....kills 99% of all germs. It's amazing, I use it on floors and throw some in the dog's laundry! LOVE

Re: Is Gold Bond powder safe to use
Believe me its been a nightmare. I think the neuro told us that because most people get lazy and will leave the dog in the diaper. She is also POOP incontinent. We have to make holes in the huge adult diapers and they just don't stay on that well. The ones online that are XXL or XL we have no idea i...

Re: Is Gold Bond powder safe to use
We were instructed by our neurologist not to use diapers for this reason. I would try and not use diapers for whenever you can be with your dog. Our dog got the diaper rash when she was on prednisone peeing all day long, but now she hasn't gotten once since, and she is still incontinent and does not...

Re: Is Gold Bond powder safe to use
We used Desitin which has the same stuff it in and it cleared right up. Just make sure dog is not licking it up.... worked in 2 days... must use on clean dry skin though so air dry first after cleaning. We also used some baby powder that had the zinc in it, but after a week it was not needed anymore...

Re: Confused, scared, and unsure
Our 118 lb bernese mountain dog went down with an FCE stroke. Within 5 days she was walking, though now 3 weeks later she walks great, but not attempting to pee and poop outside, just dribbles. She is on antibiotics and had a UTI, and we are struggling with this. We have 2 other little dogs and no b...

Re: sudden loss of use of rear legs
How is your dog doing? Our 3 year old bernese mountain dog had an FCE stroke 14 days ago, who lost the use of her back legs, is walking and getting up on her own and even seen some improvements in peeing! She is on her last day of prednisone taper (2 weeks). Let us know and keep us posted on what is...

Re: Saint Bernard with FCE
Wow that is awesome, congrats! Our Zoey would look like she peed when we used the sling, but we were expressing her bladder, and since we don't use the sling anymore, we can't get her to pee like that. But either way if your dog is peeing, OMG half the battle is over! That is insane. It will be two ...

Re: Saint Bernard with FCE
They are right about the schedule, after Zoey eats, we take the poo with a baby wipe or some use a glove, qtip, just squeeze the anus a bit and you can grap most of the poo. Zoey will always wake up with a tiny bit of poo cause if she poops at night she moves to get away and smears it. We have to ba...

Re: Saint Bernard with FCE
I know, I'm sorry I get angry that this happened and post. I shouldn't get like that, its not good for the dog. I felt horrible physically yesterday so that just added to it. I also have two other weiner dogs, 12 years old who need me. They are in great health which is so odd about all of this. I wo...

Re: Bernese Mountain Dog 3 with FCE 9 days ago
Thank you, our vet showed us how to do it laying down which I am getting better at. She does leak a bit when we walk her and my husband is able to express her a little with his knee while she is up and about...we'll see. she has one more day of prednisone, tomorrow, left. Today is an off day as we a...
