Re: chewing tail
Dear Cindy, in regards to Wally chewing his tail yes he is partially paralyxed, he was down for nearly two years and has been walking off and on for 5 months now. It is odd as he does not walk all of the time. I still do not know why he chews his tail. Thank you for your concern. marilyn...

chewing tail
I spoke to my vet about Wally chewing his tail and she thinks for what ever reason it is itchy or it could be a habit(although she said a dog usually chews one of his front paws) The vet recommended cold compreses and cortisone creamand if he still tries to get at his tail I should get him an ecollar. Thanks for all your help. I just love how everyone just jumps in and helps. marilyn...

eggs
I had a rabbit that a fly had otten to by maggots, and because they were inside of her she couldn't be saved. I would like to know what the eggs look like as I never saw anything before I saw the maggots. I have a dog that is incontinent and I certainly do not want a fly causing anyi problems. I would really like to know what the eggs look like. I am at a disadvantage with Wally as he has dry sensitive skin and the vet told me to give him a bath only once a week. In between I use baby wipes on him. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, marilyn...

Re: Dachshund Wheelie Sticker
Hi Paul, Thank you for your message. I received my sticker, unfortunetly I did not schroll down far enough on the web site so I did not know you had a choice of colours and text. I have a red and a black sticker. Is there anyway I can put Wally's name on these? I am not very creative. The stickers are real cute. What dept. in Wallmart did you find the licence plate holder? You can't use the one for an automobile can you? Did you put your stickers on your car windows? marilyn...

white spots
Wally a doxie, has several white spots on his back and on his left side, he usually doesn't lie on his left side, they are sometimes itchy. Could these be hot spots? Wally is a smooth doxie. Wally also has smaller marks on him on his thigh, has anyone else had this problem? I have been putting bag balm on him it helps a little but was wondering if there is something better? Wally wears wraps for several hours sometimes but I change him regularly. He wears the saitary pad under the wrap and somehow manages to wet both of them. Any ideas will be appreciated. marilyn&wall...

I have just read an article in a magazine that if you add 1 tsp. of apple vinegar to your pets drinking water it will give your pet healthy looking fur and because of the smell it will act as a natural deterrent to fleas. zjust thought I would pass this on. Marilyn and Wall...
