Re: making a quick kitten diaper from a puppy pad

I take a small puppy pad and cut it in half for her.
actually that face is saying "enough with the camera already put me down!"
she is pretty cooperative. she (and Bbean) get impatient if I take too long. Bbean will most definitely run away if he can, he loves the 'catch me' game. :)

more progress for Butterbean

I will admit sometimes when I"m doing his physical therapy, moving his bizarrely shaped limbs in whatever ways they will go, I wonder if he is going to ever use them for anything. Today I was watching him savage a small pillow-type bed. he was holding one end down with his front feet and had a far c...

Isis (head trauma kitten) is making progress.

Isis is definitely seeing a few things. she has been on my lap for about an hour now. she stared and stared at my pendant then pounced it right on target, it was not moving but it is dark against my cruddy white shirt. she then batted it around for a bit. After that she stared and stared at the side...

making a quick kitten diaper from a puppy pad

Black Cherry Whishniak wears these, and will demonstrate for you how they are made. it takes a little adjusting to get it snug enough so she doesn't wiggle out of it. you can wrap vetwrap around the top to help it stay on. these work fairly well and help keep her and my floor a lot cleaner. when she...

Re: hello, new to forum

hello and welcome to Hpets. somethign that jumps out at me about your description is her cold paws. that is a circulation issue. I would talk to your vet asap about that, makes me think heart issues, or clotting that is impeding circulation. I would ask her about anti-clotting medicines, a stroke is...

Re: Paralysed cat – home nursing advice wanted

that sounds like fantastic recovery! Nerve recovery often takes months, and even a year or two later you can still see progress. She has only just started recovering and has come a long way. Sounds like you have a very caring vet. Our girl Mimosa had severe brain damage and slowly regained use of he...

I think i figured out a way to keep bbean's foot from draggi

i was wrapping his foot, since he gets friction sores from it dragging, and it just came to me. his leg is in a fixed "sitting" position, so teh knee is always up. then the foot is limp at the hock adn drags. So i made a figure -8 sling basically, around his knee and then around his foot. this test ...

Black Cherry Whisniak update

the big news is that if she can get into it, she will use a litter box. I've seen her several times now go over to a litter box (normal sized, she can't get in) think about it, then turn around just piddle there. When I put a nice low litter box down she will come scooting over and use it as best sh...
