Ereshkigal has some residual nerve damage
her toes on the affected leg do not work. I'm hoping she will regain control/sensation. I noticed today as she was lounging that the front of her toes are raw, they are dragging and rubbing apparently and she does not notice. So I will be making a little sock/book/something to protect them. It isn't...

Re: MD-8 week kitten w/rear paralysis looking for a forever
I have been trying and trying to adopt another twisty, like Bendy was. people post these cats and "oh they need a home right now" and then they don't get back to me or say "well she isn't ready for adoption yet" or, best of all, "we want someone local" even when I've offered to drive five hours one ...

Re: MD-8 week kitten w/rear paralysis looking for a forever
I know a woman in Florida who is looking for a special needs cat to be a companion to her. She had one who recently passed away, had twisted forelegs. I can see if she is interested in Cherry..

Re: MD-8 week kitten w/rear paralysis looking for a forever

Have you put her on facebook? lots of rescue stuff being done there, too. If you get in...

And butterbean came to me all the way from Florida!
I think it is downright silly to let distance be a factor when transportation is available. esp for a special needs critter!

Butterbean is doing great, here is a video!
He wanted to hang out with me as I was working so I put him in the "cat chair" next to me. He can jump down, but I keep an eye on him just in case. He started out playing with a crinkly candy wrapper then found a better toy. So here he is just having fun :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjW_grFlHOw

Re: apparently
finally got word about the little blind twisty in teh western part of the state and they said to give them a call. She is doing well, they are working with water therapy and her use of her legs has improved dramatically. my suggestion of pumpkin for her runny poop fixed that problem. they are afraid...

Re: apparently
well i've been passed up for two in a row. what REALLY galls ms is that the rescue just falls silent. they don't have the manners to even say "we're sorry but we decided to send kitty to someone else" maybe they think i have my hands full maybe i'm too far away maybe they think i'm a nut case who co...

Re: Miracle in the making!
"skin is too thick for fluids" = "vet is uncreative" that is a LAME excuse fluids can make a huge difference in so many conditions, i am floored that anyone would simply write them off becuase the cat has thick skin. Lance's skin had clogged and bent needles. he still shots, and if he needs fluids y...
