Re: Help Needed: HUFFING

How old is your dog? Do you have any other animals? Has there been any change in the dog's environment? I think I would consult another vet ASAP.

Re: Dogs: TAMA HAS PASSED, MY GOD!!!!

Robyn: There have been far too many unkind posts on here. Stephanie is a kind, loving person who is hurting deeply right now. Her family and environment passed intense scrutiny when they adopted Missy. I won't engage in an argument, but I have to say I am incredulous that you would feel the need to ...

Re: Other: Speck did not make it

Your sweet little angel is in heaven now. She is completely whole and well again. I believe with all my heart that you will see her again. You are in my prayers. Hugs to you from the Ozarks.

That's my home town all right!! Last year a friend of mine from Maine who also lives in MO went back to visit. I gave him a huge shopping list...including fried clams, which he filled!! I would LOVE to move back there! Where are you? You can email me at carlie02@hotmail.com.

Re: Help Needed: decide the best wheelchair

I'm not familiar with European-made carts, but I do know that most U.S. makers will ship to Europe. Doggon Wheels has a good reputation, and judging from their web site, they have affiliates in Europe. Web site: http://www.doggon.com/ I have a 65 pound English Setter with an Eddie's Wheels cart. It'...

Re: News: The Trip is off

Sorry for your disappointment, Paul. I should be getting accustomed to it, but there does seem to be a deficit in kindness and consideration these days. I have wanted to tell you that you made me incredibly homesick when talking about Bar Harbor and Brewer recently!! Brewer is just across the bridge...

P.S.

Bogie doesn't look very happy in the picture, but it was his first time in the cart, and I think I had put his hind feet in the stirrups. He doesn't use his hind legs much with the Bottoms Up leash, but for some reason, he sure can use them when in the cart! He prefers to have his feet down. Althoug...

Re: Dogs: TAMA HAS PASSED, MY GOD!!!!

Oh God, Stephanie, I don't know what to say. I'm crying as I write this. I know you loved Tama so much, and I know this is gut-wrenching for you. Just know that Tama is in heaven now and that he knows and understands it wasn't your fault. You provided a good life and lots of love for him. I didn't e...

Re: Dogs: Paisley - Updated Condition *PIC*

I don't usually post here any longer, but I can't let this one go. Your vet's opinion of carts is very wrong! I hope my Bogie's picture appears. He's a 65 pound English Setter with an Eddie's Wheels cart. He's only had it a few months, and can't walk on his own without it. I've just begun taking him...

Re: Dogs: Robby in his new cart

I hate to admit it, but I don't recall the details of Robby's paralysis. How old was he when you got him, and when did he become paralyzed? If it occurred when you first got him, did it occur gradually or suddenly? Can you think of any accident that may have caused any type of trauma?

Re: He's adorable!!!

Hi Deepika! Oh YES!! Seeing that picture of Robby looking so happy in his cart really warmed my heart!! I think I felt as good as I did the day Bogie got his cart!! About the stirrups: I don't believe they have to be anything fancy...just something to raise his hind legs off the ground a little. The...

Forgot to mention....

Does your dog have bowel and bladder control? It really distresses dogs to soil themselves. Until you get a cart, you can take her outside to potty. Someone on this bb made a sling out of pool noodles with rope or some such material threaded through it. They made handles at each end. It sounded as t...

Re: Help Needed: lgihtfoots cancer

Ohhh, I'm so sorry. That just breaks my heart, but you can't let her suffer. Someone on this board has said you have to make the choice between you being in pain at letting go, or allowing your pet to live in pain. I think you love your baby enough to make the right choice. I know it's no consolatio...
