Re: TANNER - Sussex, VA 2 y/o hound NEEDS A HOME!
Thanks for that nice posting (above) Pam. I still have Tanner and he still needs a permanent home - hopefully somewhere where he can get more exercise and have more freedom than he does with me! He really has a great, easygoing temperament! And for people who are not familiar with Coonhounds I have ...

Re: West Virginia - Ace and Deuce blind coon hound brothers
Thank you for posting these 2 beautiful brothers who were pitifully cast away because their handicap did not serve their owner's wishes - or however you want to put that!? And they took them to a Kill type shelter!? Yes, I agree that everyone keep crossposting as even if a rescue group intervenes th...

Re: Sussex, VA 2 y/o hound with epilepsy IN DANGER!!!
Here's the latest on Tanner! After many messages and a few phone calls, Debbie and I thought it sounded like Tanner would fit in with their housellhold. Wed, a couple of days ago, I drove Tanner 4 hours to Debbie's house in Roanoke, Va. We had agreed that she would take him for a trial period and if...

Re: Sussex, VA 2 y/o hound with epilepsy IN DANGER!!!
Tanner IS housebroken and good with other dogs. He is pretty mellow - but if you want to play he's all puppy! I think he is a great dog and really want to help him find a great home! I am sorry about the loss of your beagle doggie! I have lost a few beloved pets in the past year or so and can sympat...

Re: My cat had a stroke and can't walk now
Zealie, I understand how you feel. I lost a cat last summer who had cancer when we were just about to start radiation. She got an upper respiratory infection at a time when she was having difficulty eating already. The day she died it was unexpected and was confusing to me as to exactly what happene...

Re: My cat had a stroke and can't walk now
Dear Zealie, I am so sorry to hear Cana is goneI I know what you mean about that look in his eye and I agree it sounds like he spared you from making that decision. How noble of him. I always hold mine for awhile before I am ready to let them go. It helps with the closure. Of course his spirit is al...

Re: Sussex, VA 2 y/o hound with epilepsy IN DANGER!!!

But basically he is good looking, very relaxed, doesn't do anything wrong! Please help spread the word about him and hopefully we can find him a great forever home! Thank yo...

Thanks Mari! All sounds very relevant and important and interesting.
Thanks Critters, too. Always reassuring to hear from all of you!
Zealie, have you had that follow up vet visit? Please let us know.
Hope you both are hanging in there ok!

Re: My cat had a stroke and can't walk now
I think I will try to contact someone who I think might have more experience with these things. Her name is Mari/Mumpkees. Also, Christine and Carol, do you think Critters or Bendy Kitty have experience with these things? If so, do you think you could get them to say a few words here? I know what yo...

Did you see the method above using a towel? Maybe you could try that to see if it looks like using a sling is going to work before you buy one?
If so, I got one from Foster's and Smith.
