Re: Weimaraner being stubborn with new Walkin' Wheels Wheelc
Please send me a few pictures of your girl in the wheelchair. I can evaluate the fitting to make sure she is comfortable. I would like to see a side view and rear view. Please send it to my email address along with your first and last name the wheelchair was ordered. That way I can attach your pictu...

Re: Walkin' Wheels and rear lift peeing problemp
Not all dogs adapt to the Walkin Lift Rear harness. I would recommend going back to the foam tubes which worked better.

You might also want to consider getting 12" wheels instead of shorter struts. Either way, give me a call and we can get this rectified.

Re: Need advice on carts
I feel that your dog would benefit from the Walkin' Wheels because: 1. Adjustable, only 1 quick measure 2. Rear Harness design will allow your dog to urinate and defecate easily without soiling themselves or the cart 3. Comes with belly belt to help support ruptured disc or back problems 4. Ships th...

Roo needs front wheel
Thanks for sending me the sweet little Roo picture. I haven't seen a homemade front wheel wheelchair but maybe you can come up with something after reviewing this link: http://www.handicappedpets.com/front-support-wheelchair

Re: used wheel chairs for front amputees
Hi, Are the rear legs good? If that is the case, you will only need Front wheels. If the rear legs are also weak, you could purchase a used Quad cart with an amputee cover in the front. The cost would be 20% off a new one. Please call Handicappedpets for a quote. You will need to know the fold of fl...

Re: setting up height with front wheel attachments
Hi Jayne, I'm not sure what size wheel and struts you have but it sounds like the setting in the back is correct. When adjusting the height in the front, just try to get the side bars parallel to the ground. You don't necessarily need to use the chin bar. If you are not sure, please email me a side ...

Re: xmas ideas
Hi, You can adjust the quad wheelchair height or length while your dog in is the wheelchair, just lift up the back bar a bit to make it higher. It you want to lower the height, just push the button. However, you won't be able to adjust the width while in the cart. If you have any questions, please c...

Re: progressing to Quad Cart
Hi, It sounds like your dog absolutely does need the front wheels. The front wheel attachment will support the front using the leg rings to support the weight. She will be able to use the front legs to develop muscle, while using the stirrups in the rear so they are not dragging. Watch some of the v...

Loosen the leg rings a bit, then increase the height. You are very close to a perfect fitting!

Re: Problems with wheelchair fit/what am I doing wrong?
The belly belt should be in the middle of the dogs belly. You can use the ropes tucked inside the side bar clips to prevent the belly belt from sliding backwards. See page 20 in the owners manual.

Re: Problems with wheelchair fit/what am I doing wrong?
The main reason for the leg rings to be tight, was because customers were letting them hang down 6-7". Then when the dog was in the cart, it was too low. The black knuckle should be directly over the dogs hip. When setting up the wheelchair, the leg rings should hang 2" below the blue fram...

Re: Problems with wheelchair fit/what am I doing wrong?
Loosen up the leg rings 1" on all four sides. This will hold him in better. If he continues to do the downward dog thing in the front, he might need front leg support. (Front Wheel Attachment).
Otherwise, he might just be tired.

Re: Walkin' Wheels and hills
Your dog will be able to handle going up the hill. The wheelchair isn't that heavy. Going downhill, I might suggest attaching the handle strap to the back hooks to slow him down.
