Wow, Carol. She's lucky that she's in your family.

Re: Where does everyone express their incontinent animals?

Schnitzel is expressed on top of a baby changing table. I use a stack of old wash cloths that go into a "diaper pail" in an adjacent utility sink. WARNING : The gas dryer looked to be a perfect height for expressing, as my knees hurt to bend over a tub, or express on the ground level. Litt...

Re: Dog suffering from paralysis and making strange sounds

Helpfizz, I can tell that you are worried and don't know what to do. Carol and Bobbie have given you great advice. I don't have anything to add, but we ignored the vet who told us to put him to sleep. My dog, Schnitzel, has been paralyzed and incontinent 5 years . Yes, he is well, despite rear paral...

Re: erection

If you've ever cared for a horse you know that you need to care for his male parts. It's the same with a paralyzed dog. The bladder fills and sometimes forces the p*nis out of the foreskin. Wash with warm water to remove the lint that may have accumulated, and apply vaseline.

CarolC and Connie,

Did you buy the outdoor foam faucet covers?

Where are the baby Muscovy ducks? In the park or at your house?

Connie, How much snow did you get?

We went for a drive to the river. It's pretty with the ice, isn't it?

Re: Oooohhh The Weather Outside is FrightFul

They were late harvesting the soy beans in the top photo. The snow came before Christmas; better late than never, the harvester went through the field when that snow melted. There are 3 llama that live on that farm.

Take care.

Re: Oooohhh The Weather Outside is FrightFul

Did they tell you which type of flu? Do rest.

Actually, snow is better than tornado and hurricanes. I never have to hide in the closet/or take cover when it snows, it's beautiful, and you DO learn how to drive in it.

Re: Oooohhh The Weather Outside is FrightFul

Oh, I'm late chiming in. We had 20" of snow for Christmas. It's almost melted now except for the mall parking lots that had very high piles from snow plows. Tonight we'll have ice, but we're snug by the fire and will go to bed early.

CarolC, I never heard of Cedar Fever. Take care.

Re: Feline- Early stage renal failure

This declawed kitty was scrawny when found. I'm wondering if very rapid weight loss could cause some renal problems that would resolve with weight gain. (I know about liver problems and rapid weight loss.)

Thanks critters.

Feline- Early stage renal failure

A friend rescued a starving tabby that is in early stage renal failure. Any advice or direction about how to care for this would be appreciated. Thanks friends.
