Marking another occasion
After a long month of being in season, two and a half weeks of a UTI, and then being treated for tapeworms, I'm glad to say my small friend is feeling more like herself. Today we went for hydrotherapy and she did her usual 42 minutes on the water treadmill with really good steps. Then when she got o...

Have you considered physical therapy?
You could try taking her to physical therapy. They might be able to help her start using that leg again. There's a big black standard poodle who exercises in the water treadmill at the place where I take my dog for therapy.

Re: he has shown no desire to even try and use a box
Maybe he tried it one time when nobody was looking and it started to tip because there wasn't enough litter weighting it down, so he got scared. A bigger box with more litter would be heavier.

Check for poison
Could he be catching mice or bugs that ate poison bait your landlord put out? Or could he be getting into some kind of poison? If you've never had a cat in your house before, you might want to look everywhere a cat could go to see what's sitting out. In the cupboards, behind the shrunk, etc.

Oh, Brother!
Plain old tapeworms! She said the pink could be from being tinged with blood--OK, now I know. We had a peanut butter Cestex at 7:30 and hope to feel much better soon. And here I was, kicking myself for every time I let her drink from a puddle, and every time I didn't get that slobbery bite of overri...

Trying to identify worms
in my dog's stool this morning. They were 3/8" long, pink the color of raw hamburger, arrow-shaped on one end. I have two in a clear plastic container in fridge to show vet. Thank you.

Better description
The wide part of the arrowhead is at the farthest end, like the body goes along being straight and then suddenly widens so the end of the body is a triangle. I would have thought they were tapeworms because the size is about the same and the watery-squishiness is the same, if it wasn't for the color...

Losing her balance while doing her business
Hi Robin (if you're still there?), I'm sorry I'm so late in posting. I was in the physical therapy clinic and overheard the therapist give a tip to someone about their dog who was up and walking but still a little weak and just like yours, she was having trouble when doing her business. The therapis...
