Re: Kitten stepped on
Oh I'm so glad to hear she's better. Hopefully time will heal all and her little voice will go back to normal. Nerve injuries sometime take quite a while to heal completely. Her progress is fantastic, which means she's got a good chance to completely recover. I'm sending lots of prayers and best wis...

Re: my sissy my love

Re: Rufus crossed the bridge...
Thank you for your warm sentiments. I really appreciate all of y'alls thoughts. You'd think with as many 4-legged kiddos as I have, and have had, that losing one wouldn't be so heartwrenching, but then, I guess all of you understand perfectly. These are my children, my babies, my confidantes, my lit...

Re: my sissy my love
Anytime one of my little ones hides, it usually means there's something out of the ordinary going on. Could be fear of the new doggie. She might feel intimidated - some of my cats don't like being around my dogs. I have one that I rescued almost 8 years ago that still hides if she sees my dogs. I op...

Re: Trooper & I are new here
Wow, it's been a long time since I posted here. Just wanted to add a short note that Trooper is doing better than ever. He's not walking yet, but he's learned to "chase" the other kitties. This has actually strengthened his muscles enough that he keeps propping himself up on his back knees...

Re: Kitten stepped on
Hi. I agree with what "Miss Whiskers" advised. I, too, have a partially paralyzed cat that has learned to get around beautifully and I also had a cat years ago that became paralyzed in one leg due to an accident. Lots of love, patience and time allowed him to heal completely within about 3...

Re: my sissy my love
Hi Shawna, I'm so glad to hear that your Sissy has recovered. As I read your posts from the beginning, my first guess was that she either suffered a stroke, or was injured somehow - either one naturally causing depression along with paralysis. I haven't been to this site in a while...ridiculously bu...

Rufus crossed the bridge...
Our little old doggie Rufus crossed the bridge... He was the stray I brought home from work about 3 years ago. The vet put his age at around 18 years. We just lost our kitty Coe in August, when suddenly one night Rufus started coughing. I thought he'd swallowed something, but around 4 a.m. h...

Re: God missed my sweet Coe...
Thank you all so much for the sweet sentiments. For some reason, this loss is tougher than the rest, I guess because it was so unexpected. Thankfully I still have Fuzzy, Buffy, Jazzy, NorNor and Trooper... who's improving every day. In fact, for the first time since getting hit by the car and being ...

God missed my sweet Coe...
"God's finger touched him, and he slept." (Alfred, Lord Tennyson) I can't explain it, don't understand it, can't figure it out...My sweet little cat Coe, that I told y'all about last spring, died sometime early this morning. She wasn't even 2 years old, was perfectly healthy, playful, bea...

Re: Cleveland, GA - Broken Spirit on her own too long
Oh, how hard this is to write. I have tears streaming down my face. I'm sobbing for a loss that feels so close to home. I know now why I've been blue this afternoon because I too began to feel like Reva was part of my family. I'd check on her progress every day. My sister and I would talk about her ...

Re: Cleveland, GA - Broken Spirit on her own too long
I'm so glad she is doing better. I'm also glad y'all are trying the pumpkin. It works so well with my babies. So does the pediolyte. I'll repost her story on facebook. I wish so much that I could take her. I'm saying prayers every night that something will work out soon for her. When I get paid Frid...

Re: Cleveland, GA - Broken Spirit on her own too long
Well, I'm still putting the word out for the sweet Georgia doggie I'm calling "Spirit" until a name is decided upon. I wanted to share with all of you the beautiful portrait my twin sister (artist, JacquiFaye) painted of "Spirit", which she posted on several international art sit...
