Re: Questions & Answers

The rear harness is designed around the dogs private area so when they pee or poop, it will not soil the harness. If is does, simply cut the neoprene material a bit without cutting the strapping material. :malewrap:

Dog with Amputated Leg in a Dog Wheelchair

If your dog has a rear amputated leg, the Walkin Wheels will still work for your dog. You might need to counter balance the cart (moving the wheels slightly forward) to take some of the weight off the front leg. An Article discussing Canine Amputation is here: http://handicappedpets.com/www/index.ph...

My dog is moving backwards

If your dog will only go backwards, it's not uncommon. He is just trying to back out of an uncomfortable situation. Try looking at the FITTING OF YOUR DOG topic to adjust the front harness so it's not pulling your dog backwards. Make sure the length extenders are out enough for the dog to stretch ou...

My Wheels are going Inward

If you set up your Walkin Wheels and the wheels look like they are going inward, here is the answer: Your Cart is UPSIDE DOWN! Larger Dogs needs X-Large Rear Harness

Bigger dogs that weigh over 100 lbs. will need a large or x-large rear harness. Loosen up the 4 round clips so that the rear harness hangs lower so that the stress point isn't right at the silver peg.

Which Wheel Size Do I Need?

The wheel size depends on the weight of dog and measure (Groin to Ground). This is the most important measure. Groin to Ground means inside the back legs against the skin (private area) to ground. If your dog is over 65 lbs, you will need the 12" wheel or pneumatic tire. Over 125 lbs., you will...

Rear Harness Falling Off

Sometimes dogs with small rumps have problems with the rear harness strap over the back falling off. It can also get bunchy near the rear. Solution to this would be criss-crossing (X) the back straps. By doing this, it will hold the rear harness on better.

Nose Diving in Cart

The Walkin Wheels cart should be parallel to the ground. If the cart is lower in the front, you need to re-adjust the front harness. Make the strap over the shoulder tighter, other two straps snug. The extender side rails should extend out to the front leg so its not pulling the dog down.

Re: Drooling dog

Now my dog is back to herself so I guess the chewy went through her system. Never thought to check her stool but having 2 boxers might be difficult to distinguish which is which. The magot thing, well that just made me sick to think about.

Re: Drooling dog

Well I stuck my hand in her throat and felt part of a chewy. It was too slimey to grip and eventually couldn't feel it anymore. My boxer is still drooling and not eating, just resting. Thanks for the response.
