Twobit picts and Bendy URI
Twobit is beautiful. Can he sort of stand on his tippytoes to potty, or how does that work? I'm sorry, I checked and found no medications here to share for Bendy. It was an archaeological expedition. I found 4 expired meds from 3 pets (hard to throw stuff away after they are gone) and one un-expired...

Re: Dogs Daisy won't eat *LINK*
I would check her for fever. 102 is a normal rectal temp for a dog. It can vary up to 102.5. It can be 102.7 max after a ride in the hot car or heavy exercise. Otherwise, anything over that is a problem. I'm going by memory--think that's right. If you have a question about her temperature, you might...

Definitely shave the area bare
I agree with Critters, getting the clinic to shave her is the answer. Don't worry, the vet will have a clipper with several attachments, and they'll know which one to use to do the job right. These people shave dogs for surgery all the time--they know what they're doing. It shouldn't cost much eithe...

There are at least two books you could read to your son that are on his level and would introduce him to the situation in a positive manner. The first is a book about a dog called Annie Loses Her Leg But Finds Her Way, written by Sandra J. Phipson. You can see this book by clicking the link at the e...

Forgot to mention...
I'm sorry, I forgot something important--duh. You may want to keep an eye on her for the possibility of a bladder infection. Some cats can develop interstitial cystitis (inflammation of the lining of the bladder) merely from the stress of a vet visit, not to mention a hospital stay. Also, she may no...

Re: Help Needed: Rear Leg Amputation - Susie Continued
Hi Dawn, > Susie just will not go into her box. We put her in every hour and then praise her and put her back on her bed. She yeowls and will not stay in the box, even with me supporting the side with no hind leg. I'm thinking maybe wait a little longer before putting her in the box? If you know she...
