Re: Just a sensitive stomach?

The doc is also thinking Frankie many have food allergies. We did bloodwork for that yesterday. It will take three weeks to get the results. In the meantime he's on the I/D canned stew, antibiotics, prednisone, probiotics and no treats. I was baking dog cookies today and as I pulled out the sheet fr...

Re: Just a sensitive stomach?

I found out today that Frankie has acute pancreatitis. That's why his stomach has been so touchy since August.

That's a great idea. Thank you.

That could be it. It started after we went on a mini vacation. We stayed in a hotel and we went to Petco and Petsmart where he got lots of treats.

Re: Just a sensitive stomach?

Frankie is still on probiotics, but otherwise back to his normal food. He's doing a lot better. We did a urine analysis and that came back normal. I am glad he's better, but I don't like that we didn't pinpoint a cause.

Re: Bassinet or Drag Bag?

While Frankie has been really good about not going in the bed, my husband is still traumatized. He's been sleeping in the guest bedroom for a long time. I would like to have him back in bed with me so we are transitioning Frankie to the bassinet at night. Honestly, it breaks my heart when he cries, ...

Re: Just a sensitive stomach?

They did put Frankie on probiotics. The antibiotics he's on aren't supposed to interfer with the probiotics.

I'm just at such a loss. I've had dogs all my life and this is the first time that a medical issue hasn't been easy to pin point.

Just a sensitive stomach?

Sorry, this is super long. My Frankie is being somewhat of a mystery. In August we went on a mini vacation and he went to Petco and Petsmart. This is a rare treat because we live in the middle of nowhere. Frankie picked out a cow hoof and a beef roll. He had one bout of diarrhea after. I just assume...

Re: Bassinet or Drag Bag?

Here's an update on Frankie: We tried the drag bag first. He hated being in it. He would just pout and cry. Next we moved on the the bassinet. That went better. He will sleep in it. :thankyou: for the idea of expressing his bowels. Since he does it on his own I didn't think about trying that. Now we...

Re: Bassinet or Drag Bag?

Thank you.

I haven't thought about expressing his bowels.

I am no stranger to doggie laundry. :) Frankie uses two belly bands a day.

Bassinet or Drag Bag?

Our Frankie pretty much stays on a poop schedule, but sometimes he poops in bed at night. It doesn't bother me at all, but my husband has started to sleep in a different bed. It's a dilema - I would like to sleep in the same bed as my hubby, but I'm not willing to have Frankie sleep somewhere else. ...

Not pooping

I am probably overreacting.

My Frankie has missed two poops. He is normally like clockwork, pooping after he eats. We've had him six months and he's never gone this long without going.

I am thinking about feeding him some pumpkin.

Thoughts?

Thank you in advance.

What kind of baby wipes?

What kind of baby wipes do you use? I started off with Water Wipes, but there was still a strong urine smell. This however was before he got his cart. He seems to drink more water since he got his wheels. His urine is a much better color. Now I use Nature's Miracle bath wipes and sometime the spray....
