Hi Debbie,
No, I'm afraid I don't know anyone who has actually used them. I've only seen them in the store. If it's true what they say, though, these are much better than incontinent pads. A patient lying on a wet incontinent pad is a wet patient!!

Re: sad day
Dear Wendi, I'm so sorry things didn't work out as you had hoped. I wish you the comfort of remembering he knew you loved him.

Re: Good news about Little Roy
Hi Wayland, Thank you soooo much for posting. That's the news I've been waiting for. I wondered how Little Roy was doing. Smiling this morning thinking of him hiking his leg on that tree!! ))) Please give him an extra pat for me!

Re: My Baby Winni
Ohmygosh Nancy, I'm just so amazed at what all your dog has been through! I have a chihuahua who was found injured suffering from a spinal fracture and when they shaved her back for surgery they found a row of old suture marks across her shoulders which they guessed came from a dog attack. Obviously...

Transporting
I agree with Sandy, the board sounds like a good idea if you haven't gone to the vet yet. You can slide it under her blanket. If you're not sure how to tie her, lay a towel over her and strap her in good and tight with duct tape. This is a very good way to ensure that she is properly immobilized for...

Re: what is a normal B.M. in an incontinent dog?
Hi Patti, We are coping with the same thing. My dog was really constipated following surgery and pain medication, and the vet said give her 5 cc of Laxatone daily for a week, then once a week thereafter. (Dosage might vary for a dog of a different size.) It helped, though she was far from loose! I w...

Were the absorbent beds anything like the pads on the link below? When you get to the website, enter 'pooch pad' in the search box.

Re: Diaper Pail Basics
Hi Debbie, That's weird, do you think they were confusing it with boric acid, which is poisonous to pets and is used as a roach poison? But I didn't know about using baking soda in a diaper pail--will try it if I run out of borax. Don't apologize about your kitty's condition. Do you think it would w...

Diaper Pail Basics
For those who are too young to remember. I've been using a diaper pail for months. This is because I sometimes have gross laundry that I can't wash right this minute because I work full time and have a life. Sound familiar? What you do is get a large sturdy pail with a lid. Mine is a 5 gal. painter'...

Re: litterbox
Theresa, To see a picture of what this is about, go to the link below. In the Search box type: Housetraining. You will see something called the Puppy Go Potty System that is a rectangular litter box, low on one side. If you are in the States, you could order one. Note that even the low side is a cou...

I Was Wrong
She got "Solu Medrol (IVDD Small) Quantity 1.00 Charge 55.00" I tried to look it up on the Upjohn/Pfizer website but the PDF file was unreadable. It is methylprednisolone. Do you know how long it lasts when give through an IV? Thank you.

Re: Angela about the litterbox
Angela, It isn't that much and I'm glad to do it, even with the chance that it might not work out for her. As I said, I once had a cat who would have benefitted from a box like this, and I wish I'd had one for her, so I hope it will help yours. This is free, and if you feel like you owe for it, then...

Re: Angela about the litterbox
Hi Angela, I got the litterbox last night, and a box to ship it in (that was the hard part!). I figure you can't lose. Even if she doesn't like the litter pan, she's sure to appreciate the cardboard box it comes in. ;) Don't see your info in my email yet, was hoping to mail it this morning. Post off...
